- Experience the Thistlegorm dive site, from descending, viewing the exterior of the ship, to exploring the interior rooms. Footage includes a variety of sea life including snappers and trevally. Interior rooms contain ammunition, motorcycles, transport vehicles, and more.
SS Thistlegorm was a British cargo steamship that was built in North East England in 1940 and sunk by German bomber aircraft in the Red Sea in 1941. Her wreck near Ras Muhammad is now a well-known diving site.

Dived this site in 2004 and again in 2007. It was amazing how most of the coral was dead in three years. It was an incredible dive going through the wreck land seeing all the trucks, motorbikes, etc. on the second occasion dived it with just a guide buddy and myself which was even better with no silt being stirred up by river fins. it wound be long before diving inside will probably be stopped as it is becoming unsafe.

I dived this over 25yrs ago you could see seats and alot more glass and equipment still in situ also boxes of lee Enfield rifles all around ship, obviously in alot better condition than now, but still a great dive.

At least u got everything scanned u can do the work and start scarping or just wait until u ready robots, build under water homes if u want at deepest shallowest part of water bay. Was wondering... Have you run Infrared lighting? Or used Night Vision? How about Thermal Vision Systems...? I'd love to know what "else is around" that the naked eye cannot see...

You definitely can't go inside all wrecks, but this one is a highly-trafficked commercial diving site. Everyone goes in with a dive master so you don't get lost.
