Boncey if your keycaps hit the frame then you need different keycaps, they aren’t supposed to hit anything. The sound you hear from switches are the bottom of the stem hitting the bottom of the switch housing.

I've never liked red, silent, speed and black keys (black not featured here) because there isn't enough tactile feel, which is the point of getting a mecha keyboard imo. I finally bought a Filco with blue keys but if I had to buy a second kbd maybe I would go for brown ones instead, it's almost as much tactile but more silent. Silent and speed are not tactile enough for me.
Speeds are actually really nice to type on. Although, I just recently got a cheap Mechanical keyboard with Outemu red switches and oh boy, I think I’m in love. My keyboard with the speed switches is low profile as well, so travel distance is minuscule. I love my Corsair Keyboard, but I have to give credit where due. I will vouch for Outemu being a good brand lemme tell you what. Amazing copycats.
The clones have gotten pretty good, I have cherry Browns right now but I've used Razer oranges in the past and there's no real difference. If you wanna try some luxury switches that will be different, you gotta go with Kailh Box switches or get some Zealios or Holy Pandas.
I've had the reds for years..the keyboard is now on it's last life so I'm looking for something new. However, I'd like to go to something a bit quieter or a regular membrane one...but I want something backlit, with audio controls and light buttons for caps and num. Tough reading your suggestion I may try this copycat!
