I have only recently become aware of Ben because I watched another video of Ben playing the "Nylocaster" and was immediately impressed with this great virtuoso. Ben plays beautiful melodic lines, has impeccable technique, his fingerpicking is glorious and his shreds are accents, rather than overwhelming juvenile displays of technical alpha dog dominance. Ben is a fine musician.

As always I love your playing, Ben, and this is a particularly wonderful arrangement but I hate the programed percussion. To my ear, it gets in the way of my hearing your playing. Also, I have never seen anyone else do your style of hybrid picking. Did you learn it from someone else or did you invent it. If your the originator of using your index finger nail as a plectrum while alternately traditional finger style, then we should name the technique after you; like naming an alternating thumb style - Travis Picking🙂.

I have played in Flametal band and for Flamenco percussionists and dancers - with this experience in my ears, these drums are a natural progression, without that experience - I can see where it would be hard to understand. 2. I have been talking about my techniques #alternail and #altzapua for a couple years now, that's what I call em.
