  • This is a reaction video to Otyken performing "Phenomenon" taken from their 2023 album of the same title. This group is made up of indigenous peoples from Siberia. They use mostly traditional instruments with a very heavy drum beat. The songs are sung in their native language and are spiritual, about the earth and wildlife, and customs. The songs and sound are very original. Take some time to absorb their music. Enjoy ...
NOTE: I was configuring my Webcam to not film a jerky picture which I have noticed on my past few videos. In doing so, it appears the synch with the mic is off a teansy bit. Please bear with me while I try to overcome that issue. I hope you still enjoy this reaction!

59 year old US Army Cold War era Veteran, Infantry/Lance Missile Crewman (11B/15D10) , I’m a huge fan of the Mongolian band “The HU”, and recently discovered Otyken. I can’t get Otyken’s songs out of my head!!!
The women are all absolutely stunningly beautiful, the outfits are amazing, and I think I’ve lost my heart to the gal playing the Jaw Harp….I know she’s way too young for an old ornery guy like me, but every video I see her in my heart skips a beat when she smiles and I’m captivated by her beautiful eyes. I adore how she crinkles her nose when she smiles in the Ummet Ozcan x Otyken Altay video.

Recently became obsessed with this group. Thanks for checking them out. They represent the last native speakers of their languages.

These guys are such a breath of fresh air. If you haven't already seen it, "Kahn Blues" is a good fun one.
    Enjoy!

They just dropped a new song and video a few days ago that is amazing as well. I am not sure what songs you have reacted to already, but I recommend Pulse, Genesis, Step, and Paradise Lost is a very beautiful song. They have changed members and lead singers over the years but no matter the line up, they are very talented. The current lead singer is in this video.
I wish the world could get along so they could come to the States. Would love to see them perform. Otyken and BABYMETAL are my two favorite groups. All positive and happy music.

    Hi Todd,
I noticed you used some of my uploads of nzoz clips, particular Skyhooks clip. That is really cool.
I would just like to ask you to react to the song at the below. It is a very important song in Australian music sphere. You did Skyhooks. Please do Cold Chisel. I think it's important.
Cold Chisel - Khe Sanh (Audio + Video merge 2023)
I want to take you on a step by step journey through this important Australian band. Khe Sanh is the first place to start. Thank you.
