I rarely agree with Egal, but he made some valid points. I think we should wait until the end of the season to see who’s opinions are right, because there’s a long way to go yet. I’m not getting carried away after a 6-0 demolition of West Ham, because I could still say that we should have scored more as we missed a hatful of chances.

Just goes to show some people aren’t fans of Arsenal, but just fans of their own opinion. It doesn’t matter to them that Arsenal are enjoying their most consistent form in the PL since the Invincibles (we’ve not been involved in back to back title races since then), what matters most to them is that Arteta proved them wrong as a coach and that makes them miserable. They can be proved wrong for 90% of the season and then when it goes wrong for Arsenal they come out the woodwork eager to dunk on the team. I’d rather they just stop supporting the club. Muppets.
But are you any different, surely you are a supporter of your own opinions too?……Opinions are not facts, so no one on this topic are right or wrong. Trouble is, people can’t respect other people’s opinions. Jez has been a supporter of Arsenal before you or me was born, it’s incredibly disrespectful to claim that he isn’t a supporter on the basis that you don’t like his opinions. I don’t always agree with Jez or Egal, but I won’t claim they’re not genuine Arsenal supporters.
@@nickxcore74 when Arsenal make huge improvements 3 seasons in a row (20/21 to 22/23) going from back to back 8th placed finishes to leading the league for 90% of the season with the youngest team and manager in the league , to then challenging again the very next season, then if you’re of the opinion that he should be sacked if he doesn’t win 2 of the hardest trophies to win in world football, you’ve ignored a whole bunch of logic and rational to reach that conclusion. People can have opinions, fine, but when your opinion is extremely negative during one of the best periods in a clubs recent history then something has gone wrong in your thought process whether that be not evolving to the current times or supporting your opinion like a football team. The Arsenal fanbase have been in civil war since the Wenger days, which made sense, but for it to still be ongoing is ridiculous. Feels like they’re waiting for it to go wrong so they can be validated.

The problem is fans like u think Arteta is the only person who can take Arsenal forward. Over 700 mill spent and not a single major won. Those are the facts. If we don't win something in the next two years, players like Saliba, Saka and Martinelli are gonna bounce and we're back in the mess.

The problem with fans like you, is you think bringing in another manager guarantees success, we've been here before when all these RUclipsrs told us, sack Wenger and we win the league, been there, done that, nothing changed until Arteta came in a raised the standards, the culture and the ability to win, carry on processing the way we are and the big trophies will come, that's just logical common sense, not based off a whime or hope that sacking Arteta fixes everything

Klopp has shown that you can beat City, but you cannot afford to drop many points and have to be pretty much flawless to do it. Not a dig at Arteta by the way, but there’s absolutely no excuses why he can’t beat Pep to the title. It won’t be easy, but it can be done.

Lee will credit Emery for signing Saliba for example but criticise Arteta for giving certain players new contracts, So Saliba isn’t an Arteta player now then being given a new contract by Arteta? Don’t think Emery was much involved with the recruitment then as well at the time cause he wanted Zaha.

Shows he has an agenda. If he thinks Man City are the overwhelming favourites then why should Arteta be fired if he finishes second? Dan needs to ask the question of Jez and Northside of where do they think we are compared to Man City and Liverpool. If they think both Liverpool and Man City are better than Arsenal, then finishing above 3rd is overachieving, and finishing 3rd would be achieving the level they think we're at. Now using that logic, the Arteta out talk should only be entertained if we finish 4th or lower.

Ayo this is the first time in my life agreeing with egal. Y’all need to chill fr. We’re an elite club but not an elite team like the old days. We have regressed to a cup winning team due to what we have won in the last 20 years. As much as you don’t like it arteta has brought us back to challenging with a very good side that needs more quality. Yes arteta made an howler with a few signings and decisions and I was one of the people calling to bring a more experienced manager. I just feel he deserves some respect for not making us a banter club anymore and should get more than the end of the season to being our manager.

Let’s just keep it real here, Pep is a great manager but he isn’t invincible as Jurgen Klopp has shown. Arteta has got Arsenal playing well again, but he does need to have a strong finish to the season to prove his worth. Not saying that he isn’t a good manager, but he has only won one trophy with a team that he inherited from Emery. I won’t accept the money excuse because the club has backed him. What I will say is some of our signings haven’t been great, and I don’t understand why we are rewarding injury prone players with new contracts, as we cannot afford to keep players who are missing for half of the season or more. Much as I rate Thomas Partey and believe he is one of our best players, we have to let him go in the summer as he’s missing far too many games. I still believe that City and Liverpool have stronger squads, and that’s not solely down to money, it’s down to better player recruitment.

as a Liverpool fan Egal is factually incorrect. One CB injury and it's Gomez and Quansah next in line. Quansah has been almost faultless all season. Liverpool have lost 2 games in about 35 in the PL so I think this idea it's unsustainable just doesn't make sense. If Arsenal lose a CB they are in a similar position so that point makes no sense.

Man City final 10 games of the season is the easiest run in of the Top 3! They have a tough run of fixtures coming up, but this is Man City. If they win their game in hand they will be 3pts clear of Arsenal. If Arsenal did beat them in at the Etihad and won all the remaining games it would come down to goal difference because Man City have accumulated the most points in the 2nd half of the season for the last 6 seasons.... Arsenal is going up against that!! Also the only team to win the Premier League title without a goal scorer was Man City in 2018/19 I think.... If Arsenal want to improve, they have to win the League Title this season otherwise the stats mean nothing!

Arteta loves Arsenal and is not just there for the millions! like most other managers. That ole guy is really bitter! Who else is out there to manager Arsenal with the love and commitment like Arteta. If he needs help then bring staff to assist with the recruitment and other aspects of managing a huge club like Arsenal.
Why are we even talking about this? Honestly, the only people really talking about this are the two miserable malcontent youtubers Lee Gunner and Northside. Of course, we want to win titles. But, if you consider that Man City have put together probably the best team in the world right now and Liverpool are also dam good. So many unrealistic fans and press expect us to be better than both those amazing teams. It is a little ambitious but not totally out of the question for us to win. But to EXPECT it, is just wrong.
Another reason that its unfair to judge at this point in time is that Arteta is a relatively new manager compared to Klopp and Pep who have been given so many tools to win with. I can see that Arteta is actually getting better as a manager as time goes by. I do think Arteta will be a top manager in years to come. If he was fired, we would regret it. How many new managers could actually have come in and done as good a job as Arteta has done? I think probably none. Not saying he hasnt made mistakes. He has. But every manager makes mistakes.
Look at the team Arteta has put together in 4 years. Compare this to what other managers have done with the similar or greater wage bill (wages courtesy of www.spotrac.com/epl/payroll/ ).

Based on spend alone, we should be 2nd or 3rd which is exactly where we are this year. So, last year we hugely over achieved based on our wage bill. If we placed last year based on our wage bill then, we would have been 6th.
