I use a paper towel when I’m pruning mine. I hate getting that sticky sap everywhere. I’ve had mine for almost 20 yrs and I love the roots that it’s developed along with the aerial roots!
Yes it is doing well! Trunk also appears larger as the tree is more compact now. But we have some videos on our channel about trunk thickness, one by Walter Pall and one by Teunis Jan Klein!
Nice Bro, in indonesia that tree we called Kimeng 🙂 i have question after repotting when we provide the fertilizer? and what kind of fertilizer you used? Greeting from Indonesia
I'm more of a classic pot look I really enjoy the strong edges to a pot but some of these lotus pot look fantastic just need to find the right tree to put in it! 😂
@@bonsaiempireThank you very much for the hint, but I do not have ideal conditions in my apartment, in the last two years I have the plants in my garden arbor, which is very bright, but generally too cold, maybe a plant lamp would be a good solution?
Personally, I prefer to wear gloves when I trim my ficus. There's just no reason to get the toxic sap all over you. And if you have pets and they were to somehow be exposed to it from your hands, it can kill them, especially small pets. Please wear single-use gloves or wash your hands with soap after pruning your ficus bonsai and possibly running your hands through the trimmed foliage. It could prevent a senseless tragedy. I just thought I'd add that. ❤
I love that pot, it looks waaaay better
I think so too :)

Greeting from Indonesia
I use organic fertilizer like Tamahi or biogold, and apply it right after repotting or perhaps 1-2 weeks later.
@@bonsaiempire Thank you
it was meditative to watch :)
Nice bonsai👍👍

Nice report bro. Good
Your plant is looking perfectly OK in the original pot. How and why you decide to repot it.
Like I said, I didnt like the original pot :)

Hi! I want to start growing my own bonsai trees from seed, but I have a lot of trouble getting my hands on the seeds. Do you recommend any sites?
Beautiful tree 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
How does this tree looks about now?!
Not so different :) it was a recent video.
I know this was two years ago but in my humble opinion both of those pots were way too shallow for that particular tree.
I have two specimens myself, but always problems with overwintering, at what temperature and in what location, do you overwinter this plant? 👌
I keep it in my kitchen in front of a south facing window - it mostly just needs a LOT of light which is hard to provide in winter time.

What kind of focus is this beauty?
How deep is the oval pot?
I'd say about 6-7cm or 2-3inch.
gooddjob and nice sharing mister
Thanks for visiting
Is this a Tigerbark Ficus Microcarpa?
Yes it is!

Muito bom o seu trabalho mas gostava de perceber o que diz por favor tradução em português obrigada...
👌👍🙂
Diciamo che io lo avrei accorciato di più. (Visto la velocità in cui ricrescono) ma sono gusti personali.
