I enjoyed your opening thoughts in this video. The discussion of trends made me think about how many fewer clothes we had back in the sixties. Each one of us, including my mother and sister, had one small closet of our own and all our clothes fit into our closet. I'm not saying it was better then, but it was different. Thanks for the educational video, I love that you promote recycling useful items.
I hear you! When my daughter was a toddler, we lived in a house from 1912 and had VERY tiny closets! I now have a walk in closet and it’s definitely full. I think it’s worth exploring from a socioeconomic and psychological perspective. I’ll let you know what I come up with😬
Gorgeous pieces! Once again you've reminded me about clothes I had during the 70s and 80s and really miss! (not that they would still fit! lol) I was able to use the washer and dryer at the pub where I worked full time. Forgot to take my binbag of clean and neatly folded clothes home one Sunday night. I got to work the next day to discover that someone had thought it was rubbish and put the bag out for collection!! I was heartbroken!😢 In that bag were all my favourites including a pair of pink stirrup pants, a couple of twin sets, a jumper dress, my original 70s Levi jeans covered in embroidery patches and many more of my jumble sale finds which I would never see again! My fault, I know but I've never forgotten and every now and then I'll think of another item that was in that bag. I also was given a fur that was a friends mother's not sure what happened to that with all my many moves over the years. Looking forward to the new videos 😊
My heart breaks for you and your list pieces! I know the feeling of missing treasured pieces. Hopefully they found someone who loved them as much as you did❤️Thank you so much for sharing your story and for watching🌸❤️
Paula Leishman came to Fort Providence, NWT and started a cottage industry of knitted sheared beaver. They are still producing beautiful products under the name Dene Fur Cloud. They have had a fashion show in Paris.
Thank you for such an interesting and informative video. Just wondering if you could put together a video where 1 piece can achieve 3 looks with pieces entirely from your store. Thank you once again and looking forward to your next one.❤
All of furs make me think of Lauren Becall, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, etc.. Very Hollywood golden era. Trends can be fun for inspiration and to accessorize, but I think a wardrobe should be mainly quality classic items. And yes, where did all of the great ladies pants go?!
I missed you on YT! I am with you on everything you said regarding trends and fast fashion. I don't know what would have to happen in order to change people's mindset. I thought that pandemic and recession would make people think over how they spend money on clothes. But it seems that the fashion business strikes back with a new force. Another thing is lack of knowledge. Women are getting used to poorer quality to the point that they don't even pay attention to details. They consume what they are given, for many reasons - no judgement here. I just wish ladies like you were more and more visible and started educating people on what luxury really is. Btw, you both look exquisite as always!
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, it’s truly heartbreaking how many people are still buying garbage things online rather than supporting local businesses. We regularly hear from people who are shopping online from Shein and Amazon for lingerie and other clothing pieces. I find that shocking in this day that it’s still so prevalent😭
Normally we do! We thought we’d share this as an informative post on how to shop for great quality. Let us know if there’s anything you have your eye on😊

Absolutely beautiful pieces. The fox fur is literally staring at me. 😁

Agreed! Classic pieces will last a lifetime! We need to do a video of “where are all the pants?”😳
Keep grandpa away from that vintage nightgown. He will just spill his beer on it. 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Love those Armani pants ❤
How much is the white mink coat?
Unfortunately it has already sold😞
What size would you say someone would be to wear the mink coat? I tried something on like that years ago and wish I had bought it.
It fits a size 6-12 because of it’s a-line cut😊
