CCTV News can be received by more than 85 million viewers both inside and outside China. James Chau is the National UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for China. The interview lasts for half an hour and was broadcasted on August 4th 2012.

She does not have much of an accent, I was surprised by that. She is amazing!

HRH The Crown Princess is poised, focused and dedicated to her family, the nation and the people of this world. It is interesting to see and hear of a (potential) sovereign that is thoughtful and understanding of the issues of this world. Her voice, in particular, focused on women's rights and the global sex trafficking issue and sex worker situation is inspiring and breathtaking-- I wish her and Haakon and their family, and the Norwegian nation, all the best in accomplishing the goals of their agenda in helping transform this world and better it through conditional understanding and heartfelt actions.

one thing that really sticks out to me is that i do not recall another high-ranking royal of ANY country having such a frank & lengthy conversation on television. can you imagine another royal speaking about their teenager having sex & using condoms? or talking about personal emotion on an in-depth level? i highly respect her for this.
I believe she'll make a great queen. She is very articulate and up to date on the current important issues in the world.

@@MouseGuardian Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway has chronic pulmonary fibrosis. The Royal Court announced the illness in October 2018. On the effects of the disease, Her Royal Highness has said, “I am exhausted faster than before, so today I have to take more care of myself than I did before.15 Feb 2021

SuperLadyfierce First of all her English is impeccable , almost perfect , her accent is really hard to be detected . The reasons why she keeps saying "I think"
are first : when one is an official or a member of a Royal family its better to use ( I think) when talking about figures and numbers in case of uncertainty .
second : Being humble as in oppose to snobbish :)

I am just gob-smacked. I've always liked her a lot and I think she's very beautiful as well.. but after hearing her and listening to her viewpoints and the depth of her commitment, I like her more than ever. When hers and her husbands time comes, I think MM will make an effective Queen.

Dublin, the first and oldest still standing township in ireland was established as «dublin» by norwegian vikings infact ;)

Did we even watch the same interview? HRH Mette-Marit is as far from rude and insolent as she could get, she is kind and respectful to everyone she meets and she strives to make this world a better place by helping those in need and spreading awareness on important health and climate issues.
