Been playing buckers forever. Recently bought my first P90 - HB Goldtop. Took a bit of setting up but it's a monster. My current favourite guitar.

Nice. Big PAF guy myself. I purchased a Harley Benton SC 450 GT P90 a while back and it still is grabbed by friends who come over. I find no need to swap them out at all. Thanks for so much for commenting. 👍🏼

Glenn has said, when it comes to tone, different pickup types are about the only significant way pickups affect your tone.
So P-90, vs Humbucker, vs fender style single coils, etc... that matters according to Glenn. Different versions of the same pickup types... not so much.

Thanks I agree you can hear a difference in pickups between formats. I do agree with glen the biggest difference in overall tone comes from the speaker and cabinet. I have a vintage amps including my early Soldano HotRod along with others however the biggest dramatic difference came from choosing speakers and cabinets. Once we start adding gain and distortion it becomes less dramatic. Sure pickups will add slight differences in gain output however as mentioned the louder it gets the less of a difference it makes. It becomes more defined with less gain and no distortion pedals. The biggest noticeable change in my opinion is when played at clean settings from the same amp and speaker cab. I love them all however I have a personal connection to the P90, followed by Gibson PAF’s. Thanks for the comment.

So true, P90’s have a distinct uniqueness that can either bring an annoyance or a big wave for a rebel surfer to make good use of. A Hofner Colorama, now that’s Uber Unique. Cheers my friend. 🍺😎

I have a 1967 Gibson ES 330 that has P-90 pickups. That thing rips and screams beautifully. I love P-90 pickups!

That’s awesome. Those ES’s from the 60’s are legendary. My two go to Gibsons have P90’s. No offense to other pickups including my most used humbucker P.A.F. Turn it up my friend. 🍺😎

Thank you for another sincere "review", a true delight after a six day work week paired with some hard cider. I had been looking at this model for a while, as well as a single pick up one, trying to pick my musical journey back up eventually, i'm sure i'll pull the trigger on something soon. I've also looked into Low Meato, albeit more "archival" footage than releases, but i'm sure i'll get through them too eventually. Regardless, thank you for another lovely piece of content.

You’re so welcome and thank you so much for your support and commenting. Thanks for finding some enjoyment from my days in Low Meato. Those were precious years spent in the company of good friends, musicians and artists. This feeling never goes away. I was inspired to create this channel by the encouragement of several close musician friends and then I wondered what I was going to talk about. After years of fear of not knowing how to host and produce a channel of this sort i finally threw myself wholeheartedly. Thank you so much, it means a lot to me viewers are returning to see my next video. Bless you my friend. 🙏🏼☺️

A few weeks ago i stumbled over one of your videos...and instantly subbed your channel....your presentation of guitars is truely refreshing and entertaining...not like most of the others. Keep going man....we need more of your kind. Btw. I´m at your age I suppose...Greez from Krautland !

This has to be your best video to date! I loved it. I have an eye on that same guitar for when thomann have it back in stock. I use a single bridge p90 guitar double cut that makes me feel like a hero when it’s turned up.

So cool of you to say. I still have yet to acquire an LP JR single pickup design. It’s definitely on the list. Thanks for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate the support. 🤘☺️🎸

Thanks for the review and cool demo Loving´s-G-man. I have been thinking of buying a P-90 too, preferably one of those Gold-Top Les Paul shapes, or that other
Harley Benton MR-Classic PWH which has P-90s. That guitar shape was played by Johnny Ramone once. His original 1965 Mosrite Ventures II guitar
sold at auction for $937,500 ! WOW!

Thanks so much. If that sort of growling sound is calling you it’s most likely a P90. Both my Gibsons have P90’s. I love that they don’t sound like single coils or humbuckers. P90’s have their own tone. This HB, is truly an amazing rendition of an LP Jr. That HB MR- Classic is on my list. 👍🏼
