Nomad Rugged or Sport Case for iPhone 14 Pro Max: Both are great...which is the best choice for you?

- Looking for the perfect case for your iPhone 14 Pro Max and can't decide between Nomad's Rugged Case and Sport Case? Both are very good, but quite different. The Rugged Case offers significantly more drop protection than the Sport, at 15 feet, along with spots for lanyard attachment, protective bumpers, and beefed up protection for the rear of your phone. These features come with a cost, however...the Rugged Case is considerably thicker than the svelte Sport Case. Despite the name, the glossy backed Sport isn't really what most people would consider a 'tough case', but it is slim, attractive and offers a respectable 6 feet of drop protection. Both cases are MagSafe, of course, and are lined with soft microfiber. Lots to love here from Nomad!

The Rugged Case and Sport Case by Nomad for iPhone 14 Pro Max are both available directly from Nomad. The Rugged Case is priced at $50 and comes in three colors: the Ash Green shown in this review as well as Black and Ultra Orange. The Sport Case is a bit cheaper, with an MSRP of $40 and comes in the Lunar Grey featured in this review, as well as Black, Ash Green, Marine Blue and a neon yellow color called High Volta. I have had the NOMAD rugged case since I got my 14pro and it has performed very well. (I love the indentations on the sides as they help with in-hand retention) Other years I switched back and forth between cases but not with this one. Thanks for the great content, much appreciated. 👍🏼

Very nice review and content. The sport case has class buttons but not a fan of the shiny back . The rugged case has great protection on the back but not great on the front but a nice case thanks as always have a wonderful weekend 👏😎🇮🇪

Sorry, no. It is quite lightweight, but I don't have an exact number, and I don't see one on Nomad's site either. And yes...unboxing and reviews for 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max accessories are coming up soon!!!

Got the ultra orange.. the case is 🔥🔥 but i use a thick tempered glass (xone saphire).. on below side the tempered glass is the same height as the case😅… damn nomad why did u do that🤦🏻
Yeah, I hear you! I can totally see that happening with a thick tempered glass screen protector. Not sure why Nomad likes to have such a low lip on their cases. It makes them a bit slimmer, but…!!!
Will the rugged case work with the tesla model 3 charging pad?

Hi Felix! Personally, I’d go for one of Nomad’s leather cases, instead of either of these. I think leather is their forte.
@@TheTechReviewer I see, I am just a tad bit afraid of leather cases because of my bad experience with Mous leather cases (the leather mixed with my hand/palm oil/sweat over time and the leather went from a nice soft touch to a sticky rough touch
Hi Felix. Leather can be tricky...I hear you. I will say that the Mous leather and the Nomad leather are pretty different, however.
Nomad Horween leather lasts forever. Mous leather sucks. Speaking from experience.
