I think I got the smite problem. In higher or ultra resolution you can see the enlightened ground comes in serial. so when you see the one enlightened ground step back when the smite already fallan than step ahead. because smite comes in serial. also lightened ground helps alot to spot the smites. also I think smite falling have 3 types. 1st= serial (1,2,3,4) 2nd= is like this (. . . .) think the Dots are enlightened ground and go to the middle of the two enlightened ground 3rd (the last stage)= everywhere smite falls together. like this ( ...... )and if you go to maximum distance smite can't touch you.

By executing moves like hopping near the opponent(dodging) or the special move of Jet(like you did) or Fireguard's down shadow move, you can go beyond this plane for a few frames and avoid any move or explosion or even cobra's Serpentoxin until you land in the plane again. Watch near this timestamp 2:24 frame by frame and you can see that when explosion happened, Jet was near Fireguard but not in the plane so she didn't lose any health. The above thing might seem very obvious but here is a very cool application, you can dodge Shang's down Shadow move if you hop near him(dodge) at the right moment. He might very well be planning a video on this unknown but cool mechanic of the game but it's more than possible that Nekki ☕ will fix it if it becomes well-known.
