It’s always easier to learn something when your brain is a sponge and not yet ‘hardwired’. TheDooo is amazing.

Been playing for 40 years, can be able to do melody to where lyrics would be like the Doo does with a lot of songs... but not anywhere near his level. Even after 15 years, most guitarist are not to his level.... he is definitely in the top 10% of guitarists; regardless how long they've played.

The dooo has been playing for 15/16 years, no way in hell you could play like him in 3 years😂 i don't care how much you practice. The sad fact is most people will never be able to get that good in their lifetime, he's probably the best guitarist on the planet as far im concerned
He's not technically pitch perfect, he has perfect relative pitch. He still has to tap out a few notes to find the range. Think of it like humming a song; you don't have to know the song to hear it once and hum it back.

It's like saying he's not good enough to be a stand alone artist that people would just want to listen to for him (like any other commercial artist), but he should play something small like a wedding or a birthday party where he basically serves as background music. Saying "he could play at my wedding" when he's as established as he is, also is unintentionally a bit off. Sounding like the Dooo isn't a famous musician. Again I get it he doesn't sound like he's trying to be rude, but the compliments are a bit off. It's like seeing a NBA player and saying that guy's pretty good, I'd let him play with me and the boys at the gym.
