I saw this on the suggestion box, and decided to watch it. This is so cute! I love Frank and Joe. I have always been an avid Nancy Drew fan, with the occasional swoon for the Hardy Boys. :D
Joe: "How does he do it?" Holy geez! That look on Joe's face (well, actually various looks) when that woman kisses Frank... I was laughing so hard I couldn't make a sound!
Lol! xD "How does he DO it?!" "Sure we missed you! It's got to have been at least five minutes since we bumped into each other!" "Frank you must be more careful!" Omg, love Joe!

Neha Jain how does he do it. I had to rewind it because Joe is the player and I didn't know he actually said that. 😂😂 Frank was getting into the kiss though.
So for my thoughts on Nancy Drew (new and old) (old) Nancy was always my favorite but her facial expressions never showed any joy or much emotion! But with the new Nancy I love her emotions and expressions and how alive she is! I wish the old Nancy had those qualities! Then she would be irreplaceable!
If you watch her on the Nancy Drew episodes, you can see the difference. I think she was not really feeling it anymore, especially when they put her in a Guest starring role in HB and ND meets Dracula and Mystery of the Hollywood Phantom. In spite of this, she still portrayed Nancy Drew character very well. In my opinion, PSM did a better role playing Nancy Drew. She acts better.
Pamela is the only Nancy worth watching. I remember when Hardy Boys started being shown every week. Pamela was the true star and Shaun was my idol back then. 😊
And beside, no matter who the woman will be there to portray Nancy Drew, regardless of their acting ability and popularity, will only end up with the same experience. It is like competing with the Beatles during their time of fame. They were banking on Shaun Cassidy to be the next David Cassidy who will bring big ratings to the show. That is why more concentration (and probably money) were put on the Hardy Boys than Nancy Drew. If it was not for contracts and people fighting for their rights, the management will have probably just got their way. It is not like it is not too obvious what the management was doing and planning (whoever they are). It was the perfect team and casting. The chemistry between the main characters (Parker, Shaun, and Pamela) was the perfect blend. The Hardy boys bringing in the female fans, and Nancy Drew, the male fans. Remove one, regardless if the other one is attracting more female viewers, the whole show will drop. No wonder, every show that Pamela left end up crashing. She was great in the Dynasty also
@@triciadavis5968 Contract issues. She is supposed to receive the same number of episodes as the Hardy Boys, but it was not followed. Plus, in the crossover episodes, they put her name as a guest starring role, instead of the same top billing as the Hardy Boys. That is another breach in the contract. I guess she thinks the management is making a fool of her. If she continues, management will claim that she got the number of episodes/appearances stated in the contract which is not the same. She probably had enough. I can not blame her.

In my opinion only. It was not surprising why whenever she left some tv show/opera (Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew, and Dynasty), the shows rating end up crashing. I think they mislook and undermined the fact that she have followings and fans of her own. She can really act, and she does have this presense on screen. She have the ability to blend with the actors and actresses on the show that enhances the chemistry, and makes viewers watch, especially when she is with good actors and actresses, based on what I noticed on the popular shows and movies she is in. She was great in the Poseidon Adventure, Dynasty, and Nancy Drew. The episodes Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew meets Dracula and Hollywood Phantom where many great and big guest actors and actresses were present is another episodes I like to watch.
She was, but unfortunately she was a victim of a malady common in the 1970s: The "Hey, these characters are really popular so let's give them a LOT more stuff to do!" Other victims included Jon Wilcox (who ultimately quit "CHiPs" after Erik Estrada started getting all the attention and storylines) and Ron Howard (when Richie Cunningham took a back seat to the wildly popular Fonzie in 'Happy Days' - he didn't quit but I'm sure he wasn't happy about it.) Pamela Sue Martin wasn't happy when the Hardy Boys shows had a higher viewership almost immediately (because of Parker Stevenson's and Shaun Cassidy's teeny-bop pinup status), causing the network to order fewer Nancy Drew episodes in the first season and edging her out completely after the second. I don't blame Martin for refusing to come back. I wouldn't have either.

I hope someone can answer this question for me: The short intro of the Hardy Boys at the very beginning of each of the episodes--where someone that looks like Frankenstein puts his hand on Joe's shoulder--is that an actual episode or...?
I think she would have stayed if they have not put her in a guest starring role. I don't think any actors or actresses would like to be put in that position, especially if one is in the lead role on the alternate episodes. The show is called Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew after all.
Pamela Sue Martin acts and portrays the Nancy Drew character better. This episode is just too boring for me to watch. I don't see any chemistry between the new Nancy and Frank. It is like she is forcing the chemistry.
I don't have to finish it. It is the actress/actors part to make their acting interesting so viewers can watch their show to the end so I am entitled to my opinion, and I don't need to follow some egotistical person's opinion to like something I don't like. I think you need to look at the other comments to see I am not the only one who notices it, otherwise the producers would have kept her to stay as Nancy Drew.
Her role was reduced so she moved onto other projects. In the crossover episodes she was a "guest star" not even featured in the opening sequence. Don't blame her at all.
Pamela Sue Martin signed up to do a show where she got an equal number of solo Nancy Drew episodes as the Hardy Boys did. But her episodes rated lower, so they only gave her three solo episodes during the second season and had her guest star in a number of Hardy Boys. So she quit.
Breach of contract is the main reason she left. Contract stated the same number of episodes as the Hardy Boys. Plus, they put her in a guest starring role. The contract says she will be portraying the top billing as Nancy Drew. They did not tell her that she will be in a guest starring role during the crossover.
