Good work, Never tried vivid Vinyl but if it work for him thats all that matters. technique is good, dictation is clear and understandable. He obviously gets a decent amount of hi end cars to wrap so he must be doing something right. youtube trolls suck.
I think glassing the whole door creates unnecessary stress on the whole panel and it makes your install a simple flat panel a lot slower. Just a thought . I have totally different style of wrapping a door. Personal preferences however!
looks really easy when you do it :D but im sure i would fuck all up when trying. im between wrapping or dipping my car. as a painter im sure ill handle the gun better than wrapping....
it's probably too late but what i did for my wrap is i cleaned a couple times with a degreaser then wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. you wanna make sure you use regular paper towels to wipe that way they don't leave behind as many fibers as a microfiber cloth
what up homie... Love your videos. I've been watching them all in anticipation of wrapping my new car for a change of color/paint protection. Just waiting for the freezing NY weather to warm up. Questions though: what do you mean by lay in to the recess versus bridge the gap? Also, what heat recommendations do you recommend to use with the heat gun? I have a Wagner gun also with the retarded power button set up, and I've been searching what temperatures are recommended for wrap application but can't find anything definitive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Navi R by "lay it in" he means not stretching the material. "Bridging the gap" is basically what he did with the door handle recess, stretching the material over the gap, and then stretching it in to fill the recess.
Vvivid vinyl has come a long way from the beginning. Have you tried to work with it recently with the new films they have released? I was actually really surprised by it.
I've never seen or heard of it tbh i would never use anything but 3m and Avery . Have tried 3m controltac 1080 if you had you would never use anything else . These other vinyls get used because there cheap and they can make a bigger profit out of it . I would like to see him wrap a Mercedes Vito rear panel and channel with that stuff . What's the post heat temp on vivid ??
3m is garbage compared to avery. I use vinyl every single day, im an installer for a sign shop and install commercial graphics. We personally use avery for all of our wraps but had to use some vvivid due to customer request.
3m garbage lol what digital vinyl do Avery have to compete with 3m 480 -380 deep recess i.e. Mercedes Vito rear panels . Avery is good colour change as good as 3m 1080
If its horrible to you, please explain what he did that was horrible. I know its your opinion but if you're going to post that might as well explain it.
sry my english is not that good but i try 2 explain :) he used rapid air film not good :( you see how easy he can lift the film up when he fails. than he need 7-8 trys to position the film now there 2 much dirt under the film. to much heating @ some points. and then he cutting to much film on the edges. this wrap is only for showcars i bet this last not longer then half a year in dayli use then its starts to peel off on the edges. but if its his first wrap its ok for that. cheers
So with that logic. 3m 1080, Avery sw900 and every other color change wrap media out there is no good. They are all air egress, repositionable adhesive vinyls. My car has been done three different times all with the same techniques and I have yet to have any issues. With proper cleaning and technique you will not have any issue you are talking about.

I guess it's kind of randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream newly released movies online ?
@Gerald Vincent i watch on flixzone. You can find it on google :)
Amazingly detailed work! Thank you!
Love watching your videos. I'm learning a lot. Looking to wrap my vehicle soon.
you make it look so easy... good job
as always a very informative video :)
ps that film looks great :)
You should make videos on more of the harder body parts with easy vinyl like the bumpers and boot

Bro why did you stop making videos?
Love your work man keep it up
What wrap would you recommend to used?
So mattes vinyls don’t have a cap ?

What color is this? I ordered a sample of dark satin basalt, I’m looking for this type of dark grey.
Won't touching the adhesive side with your bare hands cause a weaker stick due to oils?
newbie here,, are bubbles release from vinyls? cause i noticed ur not using any water spray
Hi my friend. What do you need to do to prep your car for being wrapped if you normally wax your car.
it's probably too late but what i did for my wrap is i cleaned a couple times with a degreaser then wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. you wanna make sure you use regular paper towels to wipe that way they don't leave behind as many fibers as a microfiber cloth
Do you ever use 3m clear paint protection?
Would like to see it wrapped more around the bottom door edge it's almost not covering
hi were did you get that heatgun?
I want this on my genesis
Hammer 👍👍👍👍
That’s a lot of work

+Elex2605 we have done hundreds of wraps this way with most wraps still on the car anywhere from 2-6 years.
Jonathan Scott wrapping your car 3 times says all dude :)
