    I too have thin, fine hair and always have. Like you, I’ve always coveted big, luxurious hair and think it’s crazy that some women spend hours straightening and flattening beautiful full, curly hair. Anyway thanks so much for bringing this to my attention - I’m getting it!

    How the hell do you not have a brow tutorial? Your brows are seriously freaakinnn amazing lol. What type of tool/pencil/whatever do you use? The color is really nice too. You really should make a tutorial or at least tell me what you use lol.

      I do have a brow tutorial on my channel ;) Also, I now have microblading but it is mostly faded at this point.

    Thanks for the review! I’d love to see a tutorial from wet hair to finished! I can TOTALLY relate because I have very fine, thin hair and the grass definitely looks greener on the voluminous side haha! I just love your reviews, and the little details you put in like about the Velcro piece is something I was happy you mentioned 🙂 this will be on my Christmas list for sure!

    I need that so bad. Christmas list for sure. I have very fine and thin hair also. I just gave up. Mostly didn’t want to destroy what I had with hot tools and products. Thanks so much. .

    Thank you for sharing this Melanie! Your hair looks great! I noticed the difference in a previous video and was excited for you to post this one! I'm going to order one when i can!

    This is really neat. I like how it gives you lift without have to tease it to death. I like me some big hair and my hair is thin and fine so I am always looking for something to give me lift at the root. Thank you so much for showing it. You are so pretty. xxx, Melissa

    Looks like an interesting hair tool. I also have thin hair. I always have to smile when you comment about your camera and the quality of your videos. Out of everyone I watch your videos are always nice and clear and you have the best audio. I guess there is something to be said about simple and basic- -good ole point and shoot:) Thanks for the review.

      Oh that's good to hear! I know how much people spend on cameras for RUclips lol and my $200 Nikon camera is not nearly as fancy as those. I just can't justify 2 grand on a camera lol.

    We all want what we don’t have! I’ve always wanted super curly hair and mine is virtually exactly the same as yours. Luckily as a Long Islander in the 80’s, I was able to rock a perm and lots of Aqua Net!!! Lol! I’ve definitely noticed the difference in your volume the past few weeks. I’m surprised that your smooth, silky hair on top doesn’t slide off to expose the crimped roots. That would’ve been my biggest concern in purchasing this. Thanks for the review!

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  6 лет назад

      Honestly it doesn't really show. The fact that I have mousse in my hair sort of helps to hold it in place if that makes sense. Also, a bit of hairspray can also ensure your hair does not slide away. I will do that sometimes but I don't feel the need to every day. Its pretty genius!

    Be careful with that much heat at your roots. Don't set it too high, because I used to have a heated styling brush (ceramic plate at the bottom), and it gave me white dots (breakage) throughout my hair, at the roots. Thank God, white dots don't break off all at once, because I would have been pixied, but I grew it out until hip (it was shoulder), and then had to have it cut back all the way to bra strap. My mom had taken each individual white dot out by snipping each hair above the dot, and my hair was half its volume, up to bra strap, which is why we cut it. So yeah, do be careful, and watch out for white dots (they angle and dangle where the dot is in the hair strand, it is a "cooked" strand from within and will pluck off if you just slightly pull at it).

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  6 лет назад

      Yes, I am very careful with the heat. I am using the bare minimum needed to make the crimp in my hair for sure. I am always also making sure to really hydrate my hair well with good products :)

    Hi, Melanie! Could you please tell me how you decided on the Rootie rather than the Petite (since they're both small)? I cannot find the dimensions of the plates nor the size or number of the grids to make my decision. Thank you!

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  6 лет назад

      They are super close in size.... I just went for the smaller option because my hair is pretty fine and thin.... and short. Because of that I figured rootie is best option. From what I can tell Petite is not much bigger...

      Very helpful video!!! I've never heard of this!!! Question- Is the waffle crimp the same size on any size Voloom, it's just the plates that are wider/have more waffles? @@MrKongsMom

    I definitely want to try this! I need this! But $129... nope. Shouldn't be so much. I'd by half that. Can't see paying that much. Maybe they will have a Black Friday sale!

      I've also seen some other brands with a similar gadget and wondering how well they work.

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  6 лет назад

      It is spendy. Worth it for me but its a budget killer for sure. I have never seen another waffle design like this, mini crimpers yes, but not waffle. Honestly the crimping showed in my hair like crazy. For sure look for a sale on this one!

    I believe the black comb is called rat tail comb... My hair length is past my shoulders- I'm trying to grow it out after bobbing it a few months ago.. Do you think the rootie would be a good size to get or should I try the other ones? I don't know which one to get... My hair is also thin, that's why I need this lol. You've inspired me to invest in one 😁🙂

      I personally love the Colour Silk Mousse from Pureology. However, I think they might be discontinuing it??? I can't seem to find it on the Ulta website right now. Which majorly bums me out. Other than that, Alterna makes a great mousse as well!

    Thanks for this video! Can you tell me how wide the plates are on this one? I have the Classic and it is too wide for a friend's shorter hair - trying to figure out if this one is narrow enough!! Thanks!!!

      Yup, Monika is right :) MrKong is my beloved pug. He's 12 now and I've had him since he was just a tiny nugget. I think of him as my baby. I started my channel before I had my human baby Stella ;) So MrKong won the naming rights lol!
