I have just bought this on Black Friday deal also with the dok (free) but without the tools you get here. I love your demonstrations as I now know that it will be perfect for me as I have hard floor downstairs and carpeted stairs with floor mats at the door. I have a V11 which I can leave for upstairs only now and daily use for this in the higher traffic areas of the house. I have just had carpel tunnel operations so this more lightweight item will help tremendously.
Not only do you do a good job reviewing these machines but give excellent tips on proper cleaning, Your house looks so amazingly neat, clean and tidy - I will aspire to achieving the same with my new omniglide
Good review, I spent a lot of time trying to find out the difference between gold and purple versions. Now I know 😊
I think you are definitely right about these being good handheld machines, I had a go with one of these at my friends house and the bin was just so small and the floor-head seemed a bit silly.
This thing looks quite cool, I may need one, cheers Rog.
Expensive for what it actually does , the wonders of a brand name
The lack of edge cleaning and the battery power are what are turning me off. I mean, Dyson could do a Rexair Rainbow PN12 and put spinning edge brushes on each corner of the floor head to rectify that.
I love 💕 the light up crevice tool 😊
So do I . What a great idea.
Gotta say for hard floors this thing is a great investment
I find these intreeging but nothing beats old dyson, I have 2x DC01s ( Standard and Destijl) 2x Dc05 (red edition and absolute turbo) DC14 Animal ( Steel and graphite) DC41 animal ( blue) also have a Vax VXZero in my collection
That would be OK for my whole flat, trust me it's small enough! But I don't like Dyson and I really like the Hoover Cleaner I've got.
I don't believe I've ever seen anyone used this thing the way I would,
I would swing it side to side and an arc like you would with a broom while walking backwards that way the width of the nozzle probably wouldn't make much difference
Roger, can you take a look at the iLife Shinebot 450 / 455 and see if it's something worth reviewing. It's a robot that works in a similar way to how the Bissell Crosswave for cleaning hard floors.
Hey Roger do you remember the corded carpet sweeper you unboxed and said it would be good if it was cordless I would recommend you review the karcher kb5 cordless sweeper
I remember when Hoover US made a WindTunnel Upright with opposing brushrolls connected to each other by a gear drive and my friend had one. On that machine it was bulky handling and it was difficult to detangle hair from it which of course wouldn’t affect this machine with rollers. It only lasted a few years and he bought a Swedish Electrolux canister because he liked mine.
Dear Roger,
Have you ever come across an antique Miele President cylinder vacuum from the 1950s or 1960s that looked like Electrolux machines from the 1920s? Many were all chrome.
You should get a load of the dyson gen 5
I'm pretty sure somebody at Dyson saw the Swivel Sweeper and decided to copy that idea with the Omniglide head 😂 I don't know...$350 US just for basically a stick hard floor machine? I feel like in recent years, Dyson has been taking a page out of Apple's play book and pricing things as high as they can because they know somebody will pay it.
I'm curious what your thoughts on the actual omniglide system are. Did you find the extra maneuverability / ability to use a sweeping motion useful? Great review as always!
hi rodger just asking can u do a house clean with a numatic i got the henry but its got the flower by the name
Please can you do a Christmas video this year like the 2018 2019 video please!
I expect you use it more like a mop side to side rather than pushing it.
I'd love to see you unbox a DC07 one day
I doubt that day will ever come.
@ibaisaic it might one day, you never know
It’s quite a cool machine, but hard floor only is not much use for many people including myself as my home is 50/50 hard floors and carpets.
Yeah not really for the uk I guess. I have all hard floors here in Australia
Sooo, it can’t do carpets, but it’s not a floor washer. It’s barely any smaller or lighter than a conventional Dyson cordless cleaner, despite less functionality. And it still costs £250 for which I could have a Dyson V8 which on the company’s website is the same price but currently comes with £85 worth of free tools as well? So what’s its selling point, the fact that the floor head can go sideways? I really don’t see the point? 🤔
Dyson v8 costs 200€ more!
I use a Simplicity A-Go-Go for my kitchen vacuum. It only cost me $10.
Hi great video im going to purchase this can you buy the crevice tool separately as it doesn't come with the vacum on the dyson website 😊
You can get it direct from Dyson, but I think they are out of stock at the moment.
have u heard about the new dyson submarine?
Yes.
They don't sell it anymore, the + one
Roger what vacuum dose your mum use my grandma has a v7 I gave her last year and it is trashed I think ishoud get her a air ram
*Sebo* - either their Felix upright or Airbelt cylinder.
Cannot clean carpets but its a vacuum cleaner 😂
It’s for hard floors
@Homepage. Guess if u just have hard floors it's good I suppose
Probably for barber shops
These are point less Dyson should just do a v8 with a fluffy head
Hello Rodger
Roger***
Rodger dodger
Feels like a waste of money for what you get. You might as well just get a proper Dyson vacuum instead of this thing that does things half-assed.
Yes this is just a money grift and nothing more.
Overpriced and useless...
It looks like a toy!
I cant for the life of me understand why people still buy Dyson. I've had 2 now, over priced rubbish designed not to last.
Well, you bought two.
roasted
You can actually fit a regular Dyson multi surface head on these as it’s using the same electricals as the v11 (which the v15 also use) so it won’t damage anything 🫶🏼
You can’t. The diameter of tools is smaller than the regular sized Dyson cordless models.
@@ibaisaic hmm, odd 🤔 I’ve been told it was possible. Thanks for updating me 😅 please continue with the great posts 💕
@@ibaisaic ghdksjs
U can’t bro the diameter is smaller on the omniglide
