  • The ancient realm of Abyssinia holds many cool locations and several wild mysteries. In this summary video, I explain why I chose this as a primary location for the 1700s crew of treasure hunters in my novel, THE ALCHEMIST'S RING. Abyssinia connects to legends of Enoch, Makeda, and King Solomon. Its geography includes fascination locations like Aksum, Lalibela, Yemrehenna, and Abuna Yamata Guh.

I did read all about Rasta, Mussolini, and the Emperor also but my novel was set in the early 1700s. Fascinating history.

@@mnalchemist thank you. There is an interesting book called "the Portugese mission to Ethiopia "and one called "Jesuites in Ethiopia "that deals with the Europeans in Ethiopia.

When the Hebrew letter Bet has a dot in it, it's pronounced like a B.
    If it doesn't have a dot it's pronounced like a V.
Sheba in English Bibles is Shiva in Hebrew.

@@Alo-cj1eu Thanks for the lesson. Not sure if there’s much hope for a Minnesotan whose accent struggles with the word “bag.”
