@@Gamerkat10 Yes. The Cats Eye marbles. In a frying pan with a little bit of water and oil. Put them in once the water wa boiling and keep rolling the pan, and they'll fracture inside making them look like crystals. I bet there's a video on here somewhere. We used to put the old 78 records in the oven to make them soft, then make bowls and vases out of them too.
These bring me back! I'm young so it was about 10-11 years ago but that is half my life so it feels long. I had a bunch of the kinds of marbles you had here but my alltime favorites were the ones that were metallic with colorful rainbow reflections, it reminded us of how oil looks when on the ground so I think we called them 'oil marbles'. They looked sort of like the last marble you show off here. What I'm trying to say is that it succeded in making me think back fondly on my childhood and I appreciate that as many memories are not so fond.

My rocket factory had a rock tumbler with marbles to ball mill the salt peter, sulfur, and icing sugar individually and then together. I then used charcoal to make black powder. Those rockets flew so much better with the finely ground fuel. They were a hit around the neighbourhood.
