- The First ever: LHT K-Sight AWD turbo.
This was based on our LHT K-Sight package. But with higher HP becomes less traction on street tires. AWD is the perfect anwser.
This was built to be a true street car. AC, PS, ABS, heat good drive- ability.
The car looks great and is pure joy to drive, Over powered and over kill brakes makes it even better.

Great build !!! First time seeing this process, heard of people doing an AWD on civics , but never seen the process. I would really like to one day be able to own a AWD civic.
Personally I would put a new Earthdream eco motor up front and a manual Accord V6 in the back that I turn on when necessary. But I applaud you guys for even doing this.. My dream Honda is a rear drive V6 powered Prelude.

Full boost at 2800rpm in a k series is unheard of
MS3VT that's what I thought. Full boost in about any gas engine at 2800 would be ridiculous.

did you ever weigh it? i've always been curious what an insight without the hybrid stuff would weigh, i've seen 1900lbs quoted stock, which is already stupid light. I imagine with turbo and awd it might even be heavier, but a fwd n/a k20 swap insight should be like 16-1700lbs I think? nutty
Cool build. Peak boost at 2800 rpm? Jesus, that's low. I wonder how they got it that low. The braking looked to be incredible too. Of course the power looked to be quite plenty.
The design of the manifold, the specs of the GTX3071r, small intercooler piping...etc

Assuming a person wants to take on their own build, do you folks offer a build guide? In the Miata world, for example Flyin Miata has a build doc for an LS3 swap.Even if the doc came at a price, I'm sure you would still make revenue from that alone, and due to complexity of build it would likely build a great deal of appreciation of your effort and drive more build business your way including sale of parts etc.

Ok. Let me explain. We have a hard time keeping up with already scheduled work. Building kits to put to ship out will take away time from those builds. Plus , past experience, anything too complicated usually ends up the hands of someone that has a hard time installing it. Resulting in extra time on the phone/emails to resolve. I also don’t passion filling boxes and shipping out. Meet me in person and you’ll see, I’m not about making massive profits by doing things I don’t like. The business people of the world will say I’m wrong, but don’t work for them. I work for the customer that trusts their pride and joy with us.
Do you have a 0-60? This thing has to be faster than a murcielago.
What all wheel drive system is it? What it like to drive? Is it 50-50 torque split or rear or front biased drive.. If it is rear biased it would be my next car! If front it would be shit to drive. If 50-50 it will b ok.
WindingMaster all that info was in the vid. It's a 2005 CR-V drivetrain. I don't think it said what bias the AWD was. Surely it would be rear in something like this.
70-30 is the torque split of k series crv center diff on full load. It works so well on a drag car. Look for clm motorsport 7.64 wild street class awd civic. And they use element rear diff and stock crv transfercase on 1300+ hp turbocharged k series engine.

I know its one of those 'if you have to ask' questions, but I'm curious what the cheapest AWD starts at? I don't need fancy seats, unnecessary extras or ridiculous hp, just the basics and a reliable platform preferably..
Do you guys do financing or shipping? Or have anyone you want to reference? I'm clear across the country (Bremerton WA) But am willing to fly out there and drive it back if I actually decide to pull the trigger on this..

Best so far is 48mpg. 45 is the norm on the Hywy

Yeah, the hybrid part of this car really was only an advantage in city driving. Most of the mpg is from sheer aero/weight. Lots of times you get better mileage without the IMA if you do mostly hwy driving.
How much does this AWD k20 swap kit costs?
It's not a kit, this kind of thing is custom. I'd bet if you had a shop do it you would be in the $50k range. Do it yourself and it might be $20k.
it costs between 8-15k 8 is extremely cheap and 15 is if you have someone else put together a couple crucial parts and if you do most the work yourself and get all the parts yourself.

You are completely wrong ! The car is 100% ready to drive right now. It was one of the few car that drove into to SEMA and drove out. You make a comment like that and know absolutely nothing about us. When I built the first K-Sight and KRZ people said it was Photo Shopped yet I drove them 600+ miles to the NOPI Nationals.
I drive my cars 'Like a Wuss" as I don't abuse them. But thanks for your very Knowledgeable comment, you seem a real asset to the car community .
