Played through the demo of this and it's extremely thin. You can build a train, find a few highly repetitive buildings, and that's really it. You never enter combat, you never have any real variety in what you're building, and honestly, it's just a super, super thin demo. It could be good, but it's going to need lots of work in the crafting, building, and gameplay for it to be anything at all.
Co2 compression guns could shoot those bullets

Looks good so far. Only issue was habitat facing wrong way. In those conditions all habs should face control or station. Great vid 😁

I feel the logs are valuable info, and should be read and discussed. I only read the ranger that said they patrolled the lake side. That should be a clue saying go look lake side, This game feels low on resources, meaning more resources should have gone into the control console, power console, and engine.
By now, you know this, but Icicle is the name of a cannon turret. Icicle ammo is ammo for the turret called an Icicle, not ammo made from an icicle (frozen dripped water)
16:09 "Icicle: Light cannon, effective against enemies with medium armor.
16:30 There are Body Scanners (Save Game Points) in various places. The tech lets you construct one on the train, so you can save along the way.
16:45 "It's weird that the game's not telling me what to do anymore"
This would be because it told you that you need ceilings and walls (and at least one door) on your train. You have not built all these things, so you are not ready to move on.
28:04 READ the screen
It shows you Power is 500/500 (full)
It shows you that you are generating +50 Power per minute
This indicates that with no systems running, the train would fully charge (barring an increase in storage) in 10 minutes. I believe when you construct it, it starts at full power. The Dynamo or other power generation would only be needed if you are exceeding the 50 power per minute generation. If you're in a safe location, shutting down non-essential functions and waiting a short time would replenish power. (Since there are power sources such as the Dynamo and Solar Panels, obviously either in the game now, or planned by full development, 50 power per minute won't be enough to do everything at once.
Something I have never been able to gauge from the playthrough I have seen. Does increasing the speed of the train increase the power usage? Is there a maximum achievable speed, and at what speed does running the train use as much power as the train generates without supplementing?

sprinting... and snow.. if you are in "snow" it slows your movement... IF you start your sprint before you hit the snow, you carry some inertia/momentum.
The biggest issue I see with all survival games: your superhuman strength! No way you’d be able to carry all this stuff around in your pockets :)

Looks pretty good, Kage. I think you could save on materials if you made all the walls out of glass. Though once things start shooting at you, maybe that wouldn't be a good idea. lol

This game has a genuine DEMO on Steam so that's a huge plus in my book! Try the game, see if you like it BEFORE buying.. I love that.
This game looks really cool so far. I noticed I had a lot of storms happening and I just had to keep my stats up. When I visited the blocked bridge and shut down the force fields I followed the the drones. One of them was next to the frozen lake with crates on the ice and a cave way back on the ice lake. To get back up, I found out I have to push the small crate to the cliff side and jump back up :)

I'm not hating I just think it's funny lol, but I have a little hand crank generator that can go up to 10v. Let's say I charge my phone with it at 5v, I'm going to feel maybe 2-3 lbs of resistance.. but if I wanted to put 10v in something I'm going to feel like 5+ lbs of resistance. In order to hand crank enough energy and high enough volts into a battery or the engine (depending on how much energy the engine can take) you could potential have to push hundred(s) of pounds.😂😂 you'd need an engine to crank your engine lol
Most survival games involves a forest, nice to see someone take it to the next lvl

I feel like this guy loves power.
I've been watching Kage since Forest came out, and it's the only channel that when I come back to after a hiatus, I feel involved again.
Also it is so pleasing to see him always align everything so well. A treat for OCD eyes everywhere.

Ice ammo won't melt if it has endo-thermic properties as the material would transfer the heat into cold so the hotter it gets the colder it gets

I watched GE's series and didn't think I'd watch Kages since its a demo that's ACTUALLY on rails but sneaking a peek at Kages thumbnails for the next videos that he got more done brought me in. Maybe Kage got more love from RNG Jesus than GE or learned ahead and avoided mistakes? Both are high DPI mouse twitchy and miss all sorts of things.

Did you unlock storage at the spawn building. I believe you read that 1st note. It gave 4 digits of code.
By default shift is a toggle to sprint, not hold down. So this is probably why you were confused.
With the 100% scrapping, it alleviates my concerns about rebuilding, especially when you decide to make it a double decker..

@@belliott538 there aren't a lot, but I just think it would work really well. I've wanted that system for 7 day to die for a long time. Survival games with moving bases, like Raft, are just appealing in general to me.

There issue i can see with this game compared to the game i just mentioned is it has a huge micromanagement to even build the train mostly due to it is completely different in a lot of ways not sure if i would enjoy this game and sure not as good an idea as Zompiercer.
