Hi Adelaide! I like that you keep your master set in the containers and pull from it and put the rest back. I have a similar storage bin. But I put 2 colors in each section with the plan to buy more containers. BUT I’m going to try putting more in each section to see if that works for me and not have to buy any more STUFF! 😂I also really love the fabric you chose for Christmas calendar. Looking forward to your daily progress. ❤
I like your storage idea for flosses! I had put mine on bobbins years ago and now find I love the floss drop (which doesn’t fit in my box). I think the drawers would be the perfect compromise!
Thanks! I'm so glad it could help. Yes I've got some of my Granny's old bobbinated threads that I know the DMC colours of in there too and they fit fine. Happy Stitching :)
Thanks so much! I love floss drops because they make getting one strand of thread so easy. I demonstrate it with a needle in my 'How to Cross Stitch Fast' video. It's linked in the description if that helps. Happy Stitching :)
Such a great video. I learned so much! I use bobbins as well and plan to try your way of preparing my floss. Loved the floss toss; it was very helpful. As a beginner, this video was informative and fun to watch. 💜
I successfully tried the method you showed for the floss. It was so much easier and I definitely love having the thread pre-cut. I have been unraveling the entire thing and just wrapping it around the bobbin.
Great video! I keep my floss on floss drops on rings in numerical order. They are hanging on a rod in my craft room closet. I also have a spreadsheet of all the numbers with a note if I have extra skeins which are stored in a bag. I check before I order more floss for a particular pattern.
Hi, I enjoy watching your videos, I am doing a Christmas calendar but it’s not the same pattern as yours, I’m doing the frame as well so I will keep up with you, just different designs. Looking forward to to start, Linda
When working on a monochromatic project have you ever used the Clover dome threaded needle case? It will keep up to 10 threaded needles ready for you. It is on 123stitch and is just under USD $10.00. I have several and love not having to stop and thread needles so often. Loved the pitter-patter of your kitty’s little feet 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No I haven't. I will have to keep a look out for it. I've never thought of threading up extra needles. Clever idea! Thanks :) I was so surprised Amber came for a visit. Usually she's very camera disdainful lol. Happy Stitching :)
Thank you for showing us how you Kit up a project. I buy all the DMC Floss per project and I put them on Bobbins. I have never done a Floss Toss because I try and get as close to what they have on the model one in color. I am going to do it with you. I have stitched the top portion and the word Christmas and I have done 9 blocks of the frame so far. I do not have pattern keeper so I have no idea on how many stitches I have done. I am trying to do 100 stitches per day and hopefully I will get it all done by December 1st. I also do not have Instagram so I cannot show you what mine looks like. Can not wait to see you everyday in December.
Congratulations! You are so far with the frame. I've only done two blocks so far but I'm working to catch up. I'm not sure how many stitches it is either yet, when I've stitched it I'll let you know. I'm looking at setting up a Facebook group at the moment. Would that be easier? I know a lot of people use Facebook because of cross stitch groups. I'm so glad you enjoy the daily videos! Happy Stitching :)
I have a similar process but my threads hang on their floss drops and rings in the wardrobe in my spare room - I don’t have the full set so not taking up too much space. I’ve completed about 3/4 of the frame and heading (2475 stitches so far). I really like the DMC thread card - do you know where it’s from?
That's so neat and organised. That sounds great! Congratulations on nearly completing the frame! I better get a move on I'm two blocks in. Sounds like it is about the same size as the Halloween one. The DMC thread card is from JKS Cross-stitch. They are an online needlecraft store in Australia - jkscrossstitchsupplies.com.au/product-category/cross-stitch-threads/dmc-real-thread-colour-chart-card-art-w100b/ Happy Stitching :)
Bright Skye is perfect for 25days of Christmas. That is the one I would have picked. Thank you. Love ya!

I think you picked the right blue fabric. That was the one I was picking when you first showed it.
Thanks! Bright Sky is a beautiful piece of fabric. I'm really enjoying stitching on it so I think it was the right choice too. Happy Stitching :)

Great video! Thank you for giving us your step by step process for kitting up a new project! 🙃🎄🪡🧵
Thanks so much! It was a spur of the moment decision to video it, but it seems that people have found it helpful. Happy Stitching :)
I am enjoying your Flosstube, you have picked some really fun patterns. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much! It is exciting kitting up new starts. Happy Stitching :)
Thank you for this video. I've been cross-stitching a long time, but I don't use floss drops. Maybe I will give it a try 😊 🐨

Thanks! That's exciting you're doing a calendar too. There's so many lovely Christmas patterns out there. Good luck with the frame! Happy Stitching :)

@@adelaidestitches Sorry but I do not do Facebook either. I will just write to you on your Channel if that is OK with you?
@@lindapearson3340 Of course. You do what suits you. It is really lovely of you to comment on my videos :) Have fun with your stitching!
