Have you considered becoming a Voiceover artist? Because your voice is amazing! 🤩 I used your color theory video for my DataViz class and have been hooked to this channel since then! Love your videos 😍
Drawing Gum is what Pebeo (brand) calls masking fluid and is also known as masque or frisket. It is usually used with watercolour. ~ Aspie mine of useful/useless information.
I really like how you approached the pastel box and I felt that the art piece came out really well. Your approach to the snowflakes was really cool too.
I somehow missed this video completely. Such incredible pictures! It seriously looked like a cave, I think it lost the cave look because the middle was not white. I bet that had you either had white paper or a way to make the centre white, the cave would have been even more obvious. If you had been able to post for the battle, it would have been unfair to everyone else because they came out so well, never mind that you are a professional artist. Loved the video. I miss the old you who did not have so much knowledge and skills because it was fun to see you discover new art supplies. Let me clarify, I love both, learning from your skills and knowledge AND watching you excited about new supplies, especially if you drown. It is more entertaining. It is just a fact. There is something so reassuring about it too. I love the creativity that you bring to the table as well as your incredible artistic skills. Crushed this video! Thank you for reading to the end 🥰.
I agree, you did great! I love both. I would hang the cave one up in my house as a piece of art! Very well done, especially for your first time working with some of the items.
OH MY GOD! You did the battle/challenge sooooo beautifully! I loooooved the cave! Specially because you mixed the paint marker with the pastels, it came out amaaaaazing! I’m just starting pastels and learning things and wow you gave me awesome ideas! You really pulled this out perfectly! Loved it!
Thank you! I would never have thought to use pastels on paint markers if it weren’t for this box putting them together, so I ended up learning a lot too!
I think you did a wonderful job on both! With the drawing gum/masking pen make sure they aren't outdated because they sometimes can end up tearing up your paper. I've never thought about using them for coloring books, but it would be just as good for them!
Wonderful talent you have been blessed with. Yes background ideas are always welcome. I like to color pics of flora and fauna (no people) and it seems like most times backgrounds are so small that all i do is add stars or birds and clouds. I have a lot of practicing to do but i really enjoy it and love to watch your creative videos. Thanks for that!
I absolutely love the canyon/cave and its definitely very arty but it would be more arty with the name "the beginning" or "from what we all come" like I could definitely see it in a gallery having multiple Earth mother feeling going on. Also omg I'm so happy to find out there are masking markers because masking fluid is notorious for destroying brushes. Also really good to use with watercolors.
Yes. Definitely like a tutorial on the masking gum pens. Just got your email today. Love that you are dreaming big! Without a goal and a big challenging your dreams will never happen. Go for it!
Thought you did an amazing job with the canyon rocks drawing for the short amount of time you worked on it. The triangular composition artwork with the watercolor markers came out beautiful. The overall process looks like it was enjoyable. Inspiring!
IMO the Artful quarterly box is the best of out of the ones available that I've seen reviewed (I get the Artful one) and then the Scrawlr box. Upcrate seems to be utterly random and not always has supplies that match properly. Still, sometimes they do hit the nail on the head and have a really good box. The Molotov masking marker works really well, I have them in a couple of sizes.
@@SarahRenaeClark Artful is more expensive, but it's only four times a year and the quality of the products is outstanding. You get a comprehensive collection of art supplies - of all types. One of last year's boxes had linotype equipment so it's incredibly varied. The guys who run Artful are actual artists themselves, so it does seem to be better curated imho. I believe they now ship worldwide, they didn't when they first started. artful.co.uk
I got Polychromos , Prismacolors and mechanical pencils which I would consider my defaults, more tools for me it's a bit of overkill. However small kits like these might allow for some quick backgrounds or shading instead of composition work due to the limited colour range, this is why I find it very useful. If you want a tip , just in case you run out of ideas, to present on your channel a very beautiful product range with very beautiful colors I'd sugest taking a look at Faber-Castell product range , pastels, markers etc, usualy you can find them on Amazon or on their website, you will very likely like it.
I love your videos and your big goal! And please do a video with pastels! I bought a budget friendly pack but I haven't used them yet because I'm not sure what to do with them in coloring pages!
I’ve been keen to get into pastels. I’m planning to buy some soon (I need to research what types I should get first) and test them out and will definitely do a video when I do!
second and the video was so good and so were the boxes which made me want to buy my own up crate box:) and I really liked the crystal challenge arrrrrrrrrrt!!
I’ve subscribed to scrawler box a couple of times and loved it, I like the fact you get to try new art supplies that you wouldn’t normally choose and the surprise factor is great too. They are a little pricey as the are based in the uk I would love an Australian based one but not sure if there is one. Great video 💜
I've never heard of upcrate, so this video will be fun! I live in the USA and get scrawlr boxes(uk) and I really enjoy them! I used to do artsnacks but canceled with them for a few reasons.
Plz do many other arts or crafts subscription boxes! I need to know which ones are worth it and are the best. Most reviews on these boxes from others are many yrs old.
As usual or better say as always a curios, interesting and “tempting” video ...I don’t know if here in Italy we have these “ subscription boxes “ I m going check it As for now thank you Sarah for introducing us to new things.
I just got some Nuvo masking fluid cos I saw someone use it on a random cardmaking video so yeah, I’d be interesting in learning more how to work with it :) And I liked your rock drawing :) And allll of your pencils and you never owned a mechanical pencil? Lol
I used to get Upcrate & Sketchbox but canceled my subscriptions as I kept getting the same supplies in each box (how many erasers & HB pencils do you need?). I have kept my scrawlrbox one tho
That’s a good point. You don’t want to end up with the same supplies too many times! With any of these, I think it would be worth subscribing for a few short months instead of committing for a long term to make sure you like them anyway- so you can check things like this!
Back in high school( 46 years ago!😳)... all we had was rubber cement, we would apply it with a brush and then rub it off, with our fingers..... I seem to remember, it worked really well, ...But if you try it just test first, as it MIGHT pull up a bit of the paper’s fibers with it, but I do NOT honestly remember that happening that on the paper we used to paint or put pigment down.( I totally freaked out at how cool that was in the 10th grade!.... as I had never seen that before!🥳)
I'm from Germany and Upcrate is actually from Hamburg 🫶 I have a subscription of their art boxes and I can tell that they have great customer service. One marker wasn't working, I told them and I got a new one in my next box :)
Have you joined my 100k challenge? Win a set of Polychromos pencils! ruclips.net/video/9IMjq4gO7Bg/видео.html

I love your snowflakes illustration! I am no good with pastels and so I respect you being able to use that right away.
Beautiful description of seeing snow for the first time.
You are so talented. Love your videos. You did really well with the challenges in those mystery box
Enjoyed the results of both of these subscription boxes!

1st picture reminds me of Marble Canyon in AZ. Nice job.😊

Love the snowflakes. Yes please to a video on masking.
I've never heard of upcrate, so this video will be fun!

I've nether knew there was such a thing as drawing gum, it looks like a good tool for detailing your artwork. I will have to try that gum out one day.

The marker piece you did is actually very cool.
Your cave is very realistic mam🥰 And your crystal is crystal clear. I love it ❤
Thank you!
I would love to see some videos using the gum marker!
Masking...yes,yes,yes. Love your videos.
Kohl paint was used in Ancient Egyptian times like eye liner to keep the eyes safe from the sun..
You did a good job ☺️ thanks for sharing.
It looks amazing! 👌
Please show us your art/stationary organization and include links if available online!
I was about to write that the cavemouth looks so familiar but then I looked at the date of this video! I must have watched it before!
You're doing a Brutfuner Review Next Week? Can't wait!
Yes! I think it will be a great video. Everyone has been raving about them!
Ive tried Scrawler box, and the stuff in that is similar to this box..
