When Alex Rudinger (Intronaut, Whitechapel) and Ash Pearson (Revocation) realized that they’ve both filled in for each other’s bands - and that they were both going to be at Drumeo at the same time - it was a prime opportunity to play through a song they both knew.
This is “Pangloss” by Intronaut, with the original drum parts written by Alex. In the video you’ll see them trade off in some sections and come together perfectly, in sync, in others. There’s a ton of energy in the room as they play through this heavy tune.

Yes drumeo..i jam with matt halperns playthrough for reptile...thats what keeps playing on the computer screen and i air drum and play the snare hits on my practice pad..sadly dont have drumkit yet.btw..great video..thank you for some metal

Intronaut’s music in drumeo..simply love it
Ash is one of my top drummers to watch. Love when he covers anything Faith No More, Patton related. His playthrough of Hollywood Squares is badass.
Both drummers sound great. Great attack, distinct percussive sound, and well placed appropriate rhythms that compliment the music.
They picked the perfect parts to be in sync. That light flamming between them makes those parts sound so much bigger. Brutal! Wooooo!
the drum fills from Alex + Ash foot combinations really makes this a great drum session
How come i´ve missed this one, 2 of my favourite drummers in metal atm. This was just pure epicness, so god damn tight!
The lack of blast beats was a bit upsetting, but otherwise this was a fucking marvel to watch. They both stayed locked in to the point there was practically zero accidental flams between them.
Met Alex a few years back at a show. Was weird fanboying over someone years younger than me. He was super nice and Ive been following him for years.

Had no idea that the drummer for Intronaut was also the drummer for Whitechapel. Love all 3 bands, and who recommend everyone here to go listen to them (band names in the description).
This was such a groovy metal track, and just shows how in-sync and humble they play together.
Go to Alex's RUclips channel and watch him. He is one of the absolute tightest, funnest drummers to watch. I got to see him years ago playing with The Faceless, he can play anything good.

this is so cool and badass
not sure why I was surprised Ash, I'm fully aware their careers overlap a lot as they both play for some of the same bands and Ash covers for Alex and or vice versa, but I love how well they do overlap in style and skill, yet both still have very distinct sounds. Also, the set Alex is on not only sounds extremely great but looks phenomenal
He is not the person who, shows of the cymbals and the extra Tom's. He actually uses them. I am just 10 but I love to play drums.

There is no better. Alex may be doing some super incredible stuff and so is Ash. Alex is a bit more impressive but by the end of tracking ash has energy for days. Both perfection! It'd a draw!
