- Use Coulomb's Law to calculate the Electric Force by two charges arranged in two dimensions.
In this problem you must treat the electric forces as vectors then, combine the forces using vector addition. Breaking the forces down into x and y components then adding together the similar components will allow you to come up with a resultant force (both magnitude and direction)
This problem comes up in electricity and magnetism courses such as AP Physics 1, AP Physics C E&M, it also appears on the JEE and A Level Physics exams.
I missed an edit around 3:40... sorry.
Very thorough yet simple to understand explanation. Thank you so much🙏🏾🙏🏾
Glad it was helpful!
Hello, the sixth grader here again XD and I want to say this was absolutely amazing! I'm taking Electromagnetism at Rice Uni on edX because I was bored and I want to be stimulated, challenged, and smarter ig, and this is the part was finding the most trouble on. Thankis!
I'm glad it helped! Have fun.
I don't understand how you got the hypotenuse to be 1.12m
@@sorinolasamuel3926 Pythagorean Theorem
Please for the finding of r how did u get 1.12
bud did my hw basically
Thanks a lot 👏👏
this concept was a bit difficult
I hope the video cleared up some of the confusion.
