@@erenplatinum881 Amber rocks. She's awesome if you know how to play with the character. I didn't like her because i believed the shit people talk about her being bad but i didn't have any other pyro character. Now i have xiangling and bennett, and i still use Amber because she's all i need for a pyro support and more. But yeah, i heard about Zhongli that he's the five star's Amber. And i can agree with that. :)

Honestly though i have never seen anyone truly trash talk amber shes just the worst pyro user, and her set to me is the worst as well, but no character in this game is by any means bad, no one should ever have a problem making a character useful

@@petraszeret As someone who cares very little about what would be too much for my team, and basing it normally off of characters i like unless its a boss, I get you because it can be a bit much sometimes, i do think ambers mostly useless unless you want to light a bunch of the smalled fire pedistals, but i can see her appeal

I don't want to ruin the fun, but Slexein is trying really hard to make it look like he would be a good dps, which he isn't compared to others, in the clips where he shows the huge dmg of his elemental burst he's using a geo dmg build, but in the clips of attacking with his basics he's using a phys and atk build, also he always uses food which is silly for a normal player to always have and using pyro and geo elemental resonance, which does boost the dmg a quite a bit, even through all this it's still not that impressive of a dps, maybe except his ult dmg on geo build, but only his ult would have good dmg
Basically this is all for show and in practice he's not even really close to being this good, so yeah the tier lists and people saying he's not a main dps are right

Kinda. Food buff + pyro resonance + Bennet/Mona + some elemental reactions(when applicable) can make any character look impressive. Its just, if you replace that character with some real top tier DPS, the numbers would become even bigger.
Ya. He is also just a good unit. I built mine pretty much only with HP, for a meme, and can still hit for 20-50k damage pretty easily. Note, he is c0 level 80, using a black tassel (meme,) no realy attack or crit, and has 45k hp. Now, if I gave him some attack to go with that hp... Goodbye everything.

Crim Zen mines a trash level 70 with 1600 dps and 20k hp and can still do 25k with planet befall lmao. He’s so good
@@Eivtil , even one food buff is already too much, especially if it`s something like that phys damage Fischl`s special meat dish - you`ll need to slay everyday at least half of game map to have a passable amount of meat to craft it for such a spamming, using it for every boss is even more strange as they can be killed after 1-2 KO by almost any 4* character with reasonable build anyway, while any 5* character can kill it in one go without food. Without that food you`ll have a half of damage on video above, that`s what I`m saying as someone who have Zhongli on twink as main dps(as Noeele is still C5 or he`ll be a sub-carry at most, even Fischl C0 with Rust bow r2 is more to be the sub one) with Crescent Spike R3 and passable 4-piece Gladi set with phys goblet and reasonably high for a twink CR:CD, AR here is 43 so 100% 5* domain farm is still somewhere in future. I also have him on EU and NA of main account - on NA i already have 6 5* characters in f2p so there is no place to exp him for a long time as I`m hitting AR50 in a few days, on EU he`s a lvl70 yet I`m finding Beidou C2 as already avalaible tanky+dps(due to counter/reflect and shielded+boosted ult from C2) support character, she`s good as long it`s not some electro-resistant domain, here Zhongli can take his deserved place in the party.

yea, build xiangling with the same physical DPS and you'll immediately regret your decision.
I used xiangling as my primary physical DPS before zhongli so I'd know. Zhongli's physical DPS is indeed about 10%+ higher compared to xiangling, but when both uses skill, xiangling's total dps wins by 30%++.
I tested exactly the same physical DPS set for both of them with crescent pike, 2 gladiator 2 bloodstained. All artifacts +20 both at 58% crit rate 182% crit dmg. I buffed both with 20% more crit rate food so both have 78% crit rate to minimize luck on testing.
With only physical attacks xiangling deals about 50-55% of pyro regisvine (fire plant) HP in one vulnerable window, while zhongli deals about 60% of it's HP. Pretty consistent after 2 testing.
But after using skills, xiangling kills the plant in one vulnerable window *without elemental reaction* so no vaporize no melt. But zhongli left the plant with ~25% of it's HP remaining even after using all of his skills. I tried this with both plants and the result is pretty consistent.
However both can't out DPS razor with proto aminus lv90 r3 on the same physical DPS artifact set. Even physical dps xiangling can't kill lv90 dvalin in one vulnerable window even with 20% crit rate food while razor easily annihilate dvalin in one vulnerable window *without* eating food nor using burst (but using superconduct). That's the reason why I no longer use xiangling as physical DPS but as pyro support.
As a DPS, zhongli is only good at poking. Otherwise, he isn't built for it. Mainly because his burst animation is too long (4s) and it took so much DPS time, dealing almost negative DPS overall compared to switching character and using other character's skills. Awesome normal attack combo, but he lacks any follow up damage which is pretty damn important as DPS source for any character.
@@kueapel911 What happened with me is I actually got a 5* Noblesse Goblet with Physical DMG bonus Stat and great substats so my Zhongli is Physical DPS + Support at this point which is kinda wasted potential since I also have the Favonius Lance for him.

Mihoyo said the buffs will come on 1.3 and are the following:
- Normal, Charged and Plunged attack damage will be increased by 1.39% of his hp
- His skill Dominus Lapidus will be increased by 1.9% of his hp
- His hold skill will create a shield that can absorb 150% physical and elemental damage and will summon a stone stele

Got it a few days ago and I'm very happy with him, his shield and crystalize pratically makes my characters invincible. And I also heard that he is going to get buffed in a future update and will probably become more tanky/DPS like, which makes sense since in his lore he's the "brawn" of the Gods watching over Liyue.
He is already tacky with his infinite shield because 5 seconds before it runs out you can cast it again.

Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. Zhongli was my favorite character the moment I saw his design. I adored him in the story and saved up like no tomorrow to summon him when he came out. I literally screamed when I summoned him and was so happy playing him. I began to build him to be my main because I just adore him that much. But when I started to poke around the fandom, I saw all of this hate on him for his low dps and it was really upsetting. My favorite character was being absolutely slandered by the fandom. It made me upset. I never stopped using him, of course, because he's my favorite. I still have him built on dps and he does well enough.
But I just want to thank you because oh my god... he deserves much better than all this slander.

@@Haunter_1616 Not really, Bennett can do a lot more, especially his C1. He's one of the best supports ingame rn.
@@Slexein As the other guy pointed out, it's not very different as using two pyro characters for the extra damage, plus the food buffs beforehand. Also, any character can do that amount of damage if you just constantly grind for the right artifacts. Thing is, most f2p won't be able to get the best artifacts and everything unless they spend like weeks or possibly months solely on that, so having Bennet as a support is the best way for them. The fact is, as a f2p, Zhongli is very weak at the current state. Hopefully the 1.3 changes help him.

I didn’t mind Zhongli as a support role, in fact he’s kind of amazing at it. However I won’t complain about a buff for old big dong zhong, I just didn’t feel it was necessary, I mean why not have a 5 star support? Then again jean is a 5 star healer and her damage ain’t bad so I guess him dealing some more damage makes sense.
I feel like 5*'s should all have the capability of being a DPS. you can have 4*'s as support, and 5*'s that have the ability to be a support, but. Having all 5*'s be reasonably able to be main DPS just makes sense when you consider how hard they are to get.
Zhongli needs a video update...the guy plays like THE GEO ARCHON now. BEAST
And now it's 2022 he is on of the strongest character in the game shield/dps/burst everything is soo good. He just make the gameplay super easy. I am saving for him.

Anybody who says Zhongli is “bad” clearly needs to reassess their skills as players and critical analysts. After reviewing his “buff” I actually couldn’t help but think, “This will literally break the game.” So yeah. That’s my honest opinion as an avid gamer.
I used Zhongli to kill bosses like Childe for fun in 2 minutes but I am not going to lie-- because honestly he is pretty low compared to other 5 stars.
He is good--- if you compare him to a 4 star. And-- that's it.

When I first got him, I personally thought he did not need a buff because he was already OP, especially as a support. Granted even now he is my main and my friends and family that I play with always want him in the team. I do not mind though :)
