Act 1: Offender was inebriated and dumb. Act 2: He sobered up but realized his fault with the help of his friends. He gripped responsibility and was intent on making things right. Major respect and hope for his generation. Owner is understandably emotional from Act 1. Act 2 helped greatly but owner seems to need extra closure with a talk over pizza, his semi-olive branch. I disagree. The guy should have fessed up to the police and the owner. Come out and say his name and pay for the damages after finding out how much it was. His drunken act...what if it hit a person? When he's charged for the crime, judge would have said to him that he needs to go to quit drinking and go to alcohol counselling. If he does that and have no recollection, what else did he do before or going forward. Yes, apology and paying up is good. But going through the system is the proper channel. You did a crime, you do the time.

Just knowing that ANYTHING could've happened while I was out and I would've never known... No way. Freaks me out just thinking about it. I don't see how other people can do this and be fine with it. She said I was acting like I had when I was a teenager and there were no problems. My problem is if something bad happened it would be on me regardless remembering or not. I'm a big take ownership of your actions kind of person and this is a big NO for me.
That thumbnail and that tittle is pretty hilarious 😂
Tittle??? Oh you meant "Title" 😂
@@andie2809 yeah, he's like " here's your apology " as he throws some shit at the window 🤣👏
good news for a change
accountability is everything - owning his error
It really is
It restores my faith in humanity, that there are still people that have a conscience, knowing you did the right thing at the end priceless.....
Nice ending for something not so nice.
Awwww
Act 1: Offender was inebriated and dumb.
Act 2: He sobered up but realized his fault with the help of his friends. He gripped responsibility and was intent on making things right.
Major respect and hope for his generation.
Owner is understandably emotional from Act 1. Act 2 helped greatly but owner seems to need extra closure with a talk over pizza, his semi-olive branch.
Most things don’t ever need police or any other authority. Life is best lived free by responsible people.
This warms my heart, there is still hope and decent people out there. I just hope that man takes care of himself because whatever he is using is not working for him.
😎👍👍
Man that takes some balls to admit a mistake i tip my hat to the man that admitted he fd up n to the owner
Admirable, owning up to your responsibilities. Why didn’t they read the letter? “I was hammered”. Wonder what other things he’s done under the influence? He’s probably a suit during the day and wanted this fiasco kept quiet. Might want to consider less consumption!
If you are willing to take responsibility and do what you can to remedy the situation there should be an option for that without getting criminal charges and ruining your life over a drunken mistake. A lot of people don't come forward and try because getting charged and getting a record basically destroys the rest of your life even though there are other options to fix the situation.
Lol 😂 police will call it a show of guilt and some community service should stop him maybe 🤔 next time
being plastered all over local news is good enough. I bet he won't do it again after all this embarrassment
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cheaper to pay the owner than being identified and pay a high fine and serve one year jail time #vandalism
Damage done, no one hurt, business owner repaid, kid learns a lesson, no one goes to jail, Everyone walks away happy.
This is the way the country should be 😎
I once did a Ric Flair chop on a manatee.
Seems like everyone has a go fund me.
Can’t make rent? gofundme
Want to be a bum? Gofundme
Lost your job cause you were late? Gofundme
Drunk breaks your window and you don’t want to go through your own insurance? Gofundme
What the f
That's good to see, you screw up or make a stupid decision while drunk it's always good to own up to it. And I'm sure it didn't cost 2k to fix the window so really nice that he went above and beyond to show he was sorry.
Since the guy paid he should've gave back the gofundme money. People are greedy.
Apology + 2K= RARE...... Very nice thing for a chance.
I did something similar as a young impaired person. The property owner told me if I made things right he would leave police out. This person doesn't know how much he taught me a about alot of things.
The way that guy ran off after smashing the window is hilarious.
The grate? That was the alcohol talking. The letter of apology and money for restitution was a decent human being who made a terrible mistake. Nice to see, especially in these times.
He gave $2000 plus cheese and dough for smashing one window? Shit come break all of mine then.
He either didn’t want to be arrested and charges so he apologized and paid or he was really didn’t realized what he did and felt like he needed to fix it.
Maybe a combination of both?
Either way he fixed the mess he made
Glad to see the young man didn't get arrested. I'm trying to figure out how he got away that night. No one from the pizza place went outside?? The guy from the restaurant is cool. 🤝
if its anything like the pizza joints near my place they were prolly closing up/near to closing, so only a few employees on hand.
Maybe he thought he saw Newsom through the window. That's the only logical explanation.
I feel shit like this only happens to reasonable people who can A.) comprehend what people are goin thru B.) understand their own part in any given situation, good or bad... happy for all parties involved...all biases removed
Takes guts to break a window with a sewer grate, but it takes even more guts to admit you messed up
Much respect to the man who smashed the window for owning up to it and paying. If I was that man I would go in and have some pizza with that owner and have a conversation, I bet you will make a friend for being an honest person like you were.
That's great he owned up to his responsibility, but on another note I was never drunk to the point where I want to grab a sewer grate and throw it through a window. ppl can be so bonkers
Commercial shop glass cost about $500 to $2,000. It's literally stated on Google.
Whoever came up with the number $2000.00 literally googled it and paid the max it would cost to replace it.
Avoiding charges...
Duhhhhh
I've done this when i was a teen. Trying to get cigarettes from a supermarket. I smashed the window and a cleaner says 'goodmorning' to me. He asked me you Alittle drunk. I said yes. He said have a seat you hungry and bought me a hot pie. I was so drunk i didn't even think to run. So i ate my pie waiting for the cops to arrive and they took me straight to the station at 6am in the morning. THE END🤦♂️
We all make mistakes- some horrifying. It’s how we handle the mistake - this renews my hope in humanity - that’s saying so much lately where I don’t find any hope
His stimmy money: Great Saturday night, $226
Window: $1174 + more
The Pizza Shop Owner is a Lion!!! He said it Water Under a Bridge plus he doesn’t mind having a Pizza with the Guy.
The guy and his friends are also Lions for handling the situation appropriately, all in all the equation has been balanced, 👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
Cheese, dough!!
My mom and I were like “wait, WHAT”
This is such weird reporting
Wow the bar for good behavior has been lowered pretty far. I am sober now but was a 1/5th a day drunk for years. Never threw a sewer grate through someone's window. Can I have my medal now?
Exactly. *You never did anything like that* . But this guy did, and owned up without anyone having to prod him, and also gave the guy $2000 no questions asked to make up for it. Again, without police involvement, without being threatened. It is good to acknowledge that people can fuck up, make proper restitution, and be square with the house again.
@@RaptorJesus we just fundamentally disagree on what we consider to be a quality display of character. I disagree in general with our society's tendency to celebrate those who did wrong consciously and then stop doing wrong when I think it would be better overall to celebrate those who just don't do a bunch of wrong stuff and hurt other people and cause damage in the first place. Reality I guess I'm more reacting to something esoteric like societies need to promote redemption over straight living. I'm not even really against the guy in this story I'm against the culture I guess.
It won't make anybody here any weaker so thumbs up 😎🤙🇺🇸
I have been that drunk before!
Good on him for manning up.
Had the owner not placed active security cameras, I'd doubt the perpetrator would have come forward and delivered the hush money.
