I have a Hive thermostat linked to a combi boiler. Noticed in last few days that when I press the knob in the middle, it says receiving above the the knob, displays the actual temp in bottom right-hand corner, then after a few seconds shows 'no signal' below the temp. Something not right here - any suggestions as to what I can do would be welcome. thank you

So helpful. Can you tell me why my thermostat has recently decided to disconnect from the receiver. Does it need replacing?

MR, my question is can I have two receiver linked with one HUB? one receiver and thermostat for ground floor underfloor heating and 2nd receiver for 6 hive radiator valves for each bedroom, This to create 2 main central heating zone with the option to run very room invidualy? (7-zone) Also can I have each Hive radiator valve linked with room thermostat or hive radiator valves can be use only by app? Thank you!

You can add 3/4 extra zones at this point in time. Check out this video where I explain how to do that

if you dont have a spare socket on your router, buy a network switch. I put all primary devices in to the router and secondary devices in to the network switch, not that it matters.

    Thanks for the video.
Do you know if I can still pair it without an internet connection ?

You must have a broadband router to connect onto.

Hi - we have an old conventional boiler with a very old nest thermostat which is just used to turn on the heating. I want to upgrade to a Hive thermostat for the heating only. Do you know if I can get the combi hive thermostat to do this rather than the one for the conventional boiler? I am asking as we will probably be upgrading our boiler in the next year so I am thinking we wont have to change our hive if we do. Thanks!

Such a clear video. If you have a number of properties with Hive in, is it possible to have them all connected to one phone?

Hello Mark, First want to thank you for your clear demonstration, I did try to contact the hive company but yo be honest they didn't provide even half of the information you just showed.
    Super helpful video.
Just wanted to ask you, which device is termostat, I mean because I want the termostat to measure the temperature of my living room, if I put the device which you called it termostat, would I'd do the job? Or I should install the receiver in the living room.
Sorry if my quastion is confusing, I'm completely unfamiliar with this subject.
All I wish is to have my leaving room temperature as the target temperature, so please if you could guide me what should I do ?
    Many thanks in advance

If you want the living room to be the the controlling room, then yes put the thermostat in the living room. When you living room gets to temperature it will turn all the heating off.

Hi Mark I have this system but my thermostat keeps going offline? Works fine for a few days then offline again? Have you come across this before? Thanks

Sorry no. It could be faulty. Keep them all close together see if it looses connection then.

At 18 mins exactly the boiler showing is the one I have ,
Is that the way it should be connected ? As I have my receivers L and N double up , and it won't control the heating , however it looks like it is working , but the heating doesn't go up and down , hot water is still working aswell .
Have I done it wrong ? Or is there something I'm missing ?

As far I can tell no. Because it would use up to much battery power.

My Hive Thermostat, Hub, Reciver and Booster are all showing green lights and the thermostat is working as the heating comes on as per it's schedule, but the Hive app on my smart phone say they are all off-line with the execption of the hub. I've off loaded the app twice and re-installed it but still have the error saying 'Your thermostat is off-line. I've spoken to Hive customer centre but they tell me the above items are not connecting to the internet, are you or anyone else able to shed some light on the problem.

Great job and well explained , thanks 👍 overall hive is the most rubbish system when it comes to pairing. It's British gas innovation anyway 👎
