Abstract painting in real time

  • The first 5 seconds are not sharp....but then it comes
I painted a second painting with the same mix of colors. That's a popular practice of mine. Most of the time I paint in series, which means I paint 3-4 pictures at the same time with the same colors. I deliberately uploaded this in real time, because I share all my thoughts with you during the painting process with this picture.

Unfortunately, I have been suffering from Long Covid for 2.5 years with great exhaustion and dizziness. That's why I can't paint like I did in this video anymore. Standing in front of an easel doesn't allow for exhaustion.
I actually wanted to post a lot of these videos on my RUclips channel, but that's not possible at the moment.
Nevertheless, I hope that I will get well again and be able to paint large paintings again. At the moment I'm drawing in small sketchbooks while sitting.

Maybe this is just how an abstract should be painted. Painting through all the `mistakes` and not stopping till it looks just about right with you. Come back next day to re-evaluate. Maybe when the painting matches our mood of frustration and angst it looks right, at the time. ;-)

Thank you very much for the kind words.
I don't know if you saw that the 4 videos before this video belong together.
That was an online painting course that I offered for a fee. In the previous videos, you can see below the videos what materials I used.
Unfortunately, 3 years ago I fell ill with Long Covid with severe exhaustion, dizziness and cognitive disorders and was no longer able to make any more videos or offer any more courses.
So I decided to show this course for everyone on RUclips for free.
When I watch these videos myself, I feel such a great longing for that time when I could still paint standing in front of my easel.
I always painted intuitively and my goal was always to have fun on the way to the end result. The end result was always secondary to me.
I'm glad to hear that you like this path. It really is the most fun way to paint. No worries about what happens, you can always direct the painting in a new direction.
And the distance from the painting can often work wonders. A short break or a night's sleep on it and you'll see the picture with different eyes.
      Best wishes Conny

LG Inge

    • @ConnyLehmann
      @ConnyLehmann  2 месяца назад

Alles Liebe Inge
