True to form - Evri attempted to deliver today at 5.45 PM - the exact time of day I am out every day. I took the option for them to deliver to a parcelshop which happens to be the local post office and I hope they do not take a week over that. You will see another unboxing when I get that as it has about 27 LPs in that purchase.

I'm enjoying your unboxing vídeos. Lutoslawski is one of my favourite XXe Century composers! This is not cold, mathematical compositions! Wonderfully musical and dramatic in a modern form! Worth exploring (Naxos has a very series of nearly all of his works, but this is even better).

My ebay purchases will certainly be more interesting that my charity shop buys!

I almost fell off my chair when the 2nd record started. Spooky, very weird, very cool. I like avante garde stuff like that.

I'd always clean used record prior to playing - even most "new and sealed" LPs. There's often buried dirt you can't see. We bought a cheap jewelers loop eye piece and the stuff you see in those grooves! Your car polish always makes me nervous. Anything left on the surface of the record is generally frowned on. I'd recommend a distilled water rinse and wipe with a lint free cloth at least. I saw a listing on marketplace recently, one line in description made me laugh... "has a scatch, might polish out..." - maybe , along with the groove!

@@JudgeDrokk I do rinse off with filtered water. Never had any problems with my method.

many sellers use records for packaging stiffeners, for me they usually always end up going in the charity shop...the Labeque sisters sounded really good, piano is the most difficult instrument to sound good on a hifi system.

Yes he confirmed used a a stiffener but in ex condition - really pleased with it.

What's the problem with spindle marks?

Usually indicates clumsy handling and heavily used record.

generally indicates groove wear from many playbacks.

In Australia,if your not home they leave a card telling you they will leave it at the nearest post office, and what time you can go collect it.

Royal Mail usually try to deliver next day and if they fail 2nd time they leave a card asking what do you want to do. EVRI will try 3 attempts to deliver but the 2nd attempt is usually several days after the first.
