Do you think using this same daisy chain petal on the DT star wreath frame would work and still keep the star shape? I'm trying to figure out a method to use the star frame that will keep it's shape. Thanks.
I’ve had a tough time with the star wreath frame. I used it to make a butterfly in a recent video. I initially tried to use a daisy chain petal for the butterfly, but they were entirely too big. I would use a smaller petal or some petal using a 5” x 5” piece of mesh. It’s definitely more work, but in my opinion, it will help to keep the star shape. Thanks!
Hi Patti ~ so I've made a few of these wreaths (different sign) for family but I'm now having people ask if they paid for it, if I'd make them some. I am newer to the wreath world and doing it for fun right now...needless to say I have NO clue what to charge. Someone told me to multiply the supplies by 2 and charge that amount. With the mesh and to order a sign along with how expensive shipping is, that would come to $140! I feel weird charging that amount. Can you tell me what you sell yours for to know if I'm doing this wrong!!! LOL ~ thank you SO much!
You are not doing this wrong! What I do when calculating cost, if I only use 1/2 roll of mesh, then I will use 1/2 the cost of that roll. The reason we double the cost of supplies is to account for our costs of materials such as tables, scissors, wire cutters, cutting mats, etc. then you should also add in your time. I know the cost can get expensive for the customer, so I usually leave out the extra cost for my time. For this wreath, the sign was a gift from my friend, Teri, so I passed that savings along to the customer. I only charged $105 for the wreath, which was a great deal. Don’t undervalue yourself. If your customer wants a good product, they’ll pay for it.
@@crookedtreecreations Thank you so much for the information that was very helpful! Being newer I will say it’s a time consuming wreath but do love making them! The sign I ordered with shipping & tax was $24 so that really added to the cost of materials. Thank you again I truly appreciate you taking the time to answer this 🥰
No problem! I know pricing is tough! I still struggle with it! My response to you was also a reminder to myself that we should never undervalue our work! Thank you for reaching out! Good luck! ❤️

Sorry if this is asked in the comments, but by chance can we still get that sign from Teri? LOVE it!
I would check on the Deco Exchange website. Otherwise, I don’t know where you can find it.

@@crookedtreecreations thanks. I appreciate your ideas.
Hi Patti ~ one more question. Is the red mesh a true red or a cranberry?
True red. Good question!
@@crookedtreecreations Thank you so much! I can't wait to get my supplies to try this one just LOVE it!
How many rolls of each color burlap mesh needed?
You will need one 30-yard roll of poly burlap mesh in each color. You will use almost the entire rolls of the red and white.
