Love this design. Military wife. On the Styrofoam center, add a button on each side, run the wire thru the buttons. Takes the stress off the twisted wire on both sides.

You could also put the wire through the felt to avoid it tearing through the Styrofoam.

Julie, if you put the felt on the foam first, then poke the wire through that, it would be pretty impossible to pull through! A piece of felt over it would hide it too. Thanks for all you do!!!!
I made one and I used Fabric with stars for the center. Everyone loved it. Thank you for doing the video.
I made one of these wreaths a couple weeks ago. I used an 8 inch frame with cranberry mesh and wood stars. I painted to stars white and used a combo of e6000 and hot glue. I did glue one star on each side (front and back) for extra support.

When sanding the styrofoam blocks just use scap styrofoam to smooth the edges

I love how easy it is on the 10 in wire frame
Love the wreath. I add a pin in the center of the rope to hold in place with the glue also at the end of rope add the pin and glue.

I made it on a twelve inch wreath. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Great tutorial.
I attempted to make this wreath with burlap ribbon and it came out amazing! I had to use natural burlap in place of the white and makes it look more primitive . The white burlap ribbon was not available in my local craft stores. I did notice that the DT wreaths are wider in the middle than the ones from Hobby Lobby. The HL ones fit the precut canvas mesh. The DT ones had to be custom cut to fit the centers. I love your tutorials. You are so easy to listen to and are very informative. Thanks for sharing your craft.
Hi Julie, I am in the process of making this wreath. I love the look , but I had a little trouble cutting and flipped my material over. My mistake. Just to let the ladies know there is a right way and a wrong way to lay the mesh before using the wood burner. I had to go back and redo, but was able to salvage my mesh. Moral of this story, pay attention. Thanks for all you share, I really enjoy your videos.

Hey Julie, wondering if the gorilla glue sticks hold up under Michigan’s brutal summer sun? I made a wreath for my DIL and used just regular craft hot glue sticks and after a few days in the afternoon sun tho ha began to slowly melt off🤦🏻♀️ Also just wanted to offer a side hack on the center styrofoam piece of the flower. Adding a piece of duct tape under the tape before you put the wire thru it will be much stronger and the wire won’t pull thru😉 happy crafting fellow Michigander!

Are these wreaths, with the burlap, outdoor friendly, and do they fade with this fabric? I am so anxious to try it. Maybe a sunflower too.
They will fade in a couple seasons sooner if hit by sun.

Hi Julie…I made this wreath and I fused the petal all the way around each petal. Then for the middle I had the tails to cover, so (Cricut like the bug) I took ribbon and ruffled around then covered my center for a real flower center and covered with a corresponding ribbon! Love it … going to friend for July wreath!

I figured perhaps to lessen wastage of burlap, we can fold it at an angle, forming a triangle then cut through it with the wood burning tool. It would make a perfect 10 x 10 and save on material. Succeeding cuts will be at an angle as well? Just my 2-cent’s worth😊

I made a sunflower wreath for my newlywed daughters new home ( I'm a beginner). I was baffled when it came time to do the center so I used to piece of styrofoam like you used here, and I cut up brown yarn in small pieces. I adhered the yarn to the Styrofoam with spray adhesive. It turned out beautiful!
