Yes the first train was an empty eastbound coal train...these units get dirty from the coal sprayers and the coal dust during travel, also doesn't help with CP not washing their units often. Thanks for watching!
Always amazed that Kamloops Lake is not more developed recreational wise. Huge lake, hot climate etc, etc. Savona has always been there but Tobiano is fairly recently developed and that’s it. Whole north side of lake…nothing. Friends and I hiked out on north side from Kamloops end many years ago along CN tracks….remember how scary it was around those blind curves!
Yeah that's a creative thought although I like it this way...that does sounds a little scary but a fun hike and great memories that came with it - thanks for sharing your comment!
I’ve noticed they do more 1x1-0 or 1x1 setups so 1 to 2 engines for eastbounds and westbounds may have up to 2x1 or 1x1x1 depending. Thanks for watching!
What am I missing for dirty motors? They run trains. They aren’t in a car show room. This is why railroaders laugh at foamers. You guys look at motors like you are getting some Ansel Adams type photo. The railroad looks at these things as simply an asset to pull a train. Most never get washed except by rain. Remember if you ever gets pics with clean motors you got lucky. Other than brand new or executive trains/customer specials they never get washed.
I can’t say I’ve ever seen something this dirty on CN’s fleet of locomotives, CP doesn’t wash their locomotives at all unless it’s being serviced of course. My title is to capture attention to what is going on in the video not to complain about which trains aren’t getting turtle waxed. Thanks for watching.
There was an older guy who would make videos hopping freight trains - NOT HOBO SHOWSTRING - he looked like a businessman..... I cannot find his channel anymore - anybody know who he is?>
Stobe the Hobo made amazing videos. He died doing what he loved. He made amazing videos and his Canada videos covered these tracks. I believe he went from Vancouver to Toronto. Vancouver to Calgary is amazing, by passenger or freight.
those locos are dirty because of the work area they are put in to, coal is black and the dust from there is black, if you work whit dirty things you get dirty, and you dont waash a loco all the time, that is life.
No I'm sorry but the Union Pacific has the dirtiest locomotives and they really don't seem to care about their corporate image. And for the most part I would say the BNSF keeps the cleanest locomotives and has the best corporate image out there. Of course just my opinion
But at least they are yellow! CP is helpless with the dark red shade especially when they aren’t in the bright sun! CP doesn’t wash units as often as CN does that’s for sure. Thanks for your opinion!
9:40 great shot. It's been 20 years since I saw it with my own eyes. Greetings Michal Czech Republic
9:38 awesome shot! Cool catch of the UP SD70AH! It is almost an ACE but just a little different.
Right...I normally look that info up but this time I didn't lol, I have corrected it thanks for letting me know.

Great video.
Nice catches Ty! Lol yea that’s what happens when you stick a GEVO in coal service for years 😂
That was a rebuild in the lead...has it actually been a couple years since those came out? time sure flies.
Soot in the engine, and a sooted outside!
I like the looks of that country. Reminds me a bit of the UP line along the Snake River in Southern Idaho.

@@TracksideTyson your welcome I got 3 new video
Yes that is the dirtiest loco I have ever seen! Been hauling coal too long, lol
Yeeeeeees!
Reminds me of a quote attributed to a Southern Pacific operations guy: “a dirty loco pulls just as good as a clean one.” 😉
Yes, very true.
@@fritzd2116 Love the comment thank you

My guess it was hit by the Carlin sprayer as a remote
Coal sprayers and then coal dust on the way up to the coast. Thanks for checking this one out!

@@free2roam674 I found the guy I was asking about - his youtube channel is - Jumping Off The Cliff
@James Rockford I have watched his videos before cool guy!
I see most of Canadians trains using a single locomotive.
Bom dia🏛✋👍

Just study the Southern Pacific.
It’s possible my vehicle is dirtier 😂😂
Haha
beautiful recording, great place to record trains. greetings TammyCompany
