I always liked the blue and red super man but I know a lot of fans disliked it. I didn’t understand the problem we all knew he wasn’t gonna stay like that so why not just enjoy the story.
It is because the legacy of great characters always eventually gets handed to woke hackjob "writers". These writers have no talent for creating a story based in iconic lore, so they permanently change the lore and retcon things to make their shit writing fit. So when you get any sort of major change the fans don't know " he wasn’t gonna stay like that " so they get pissed off and want them to know their displeasure of this being a long lasting change immediately. So even if the change is like this, you get a kneejerk reaction from many fans. Comic book fans have been fucked over so many times by "writers" that either have no talent, have an agenda, or have just never read a comic book a day in their lives. I mean look at how horrible the MCU movies turned out, the story and lore is utter trash and makes no sense.
They actually did that years before the 90s but he was not made of energy during that time. The original Superman red and Superman blue was either golden age or silver age story where he split into two different characters red and blue one married Lana the other married Lois
The power upgrade was fantastic increasing his speed and sight powers and energy from abilities were much more than needed but of course this wouldn't last outwardly but still there is another question is this particular power upgrade coming back it seems the powers Superman recently gained are not dissimilar but more unique to his Krypton bloodline and his son Jon Kent Superman who recently acquired those abilities or is it related to Lois Lane Kent and the human potential of meta human powers? And this power upgrade was a longside hypertime stories so is those powers responsible for the next crisis infinity stories? Does Superman still have a little of those abilities?
Why wasn't there a *third* color specific Superman in the division? Maybe yellow, since that's the third color in his normal color scheme? Or maybe Green, since that's the third additive primary...
I actually think Superman Blue was supposed to last until 2001. But the lack of popularity of the story forced DC to switch Superman back earlyier than planned.
It’s something some what neat and different but I like Superman with his usual powers. It would be op as hell though if he had these powers added to the old ones.
DC really missed the boat with this one. I mean, the powers and design were fantastic, and much of the origin was great. But assigning it to Superman was the issue. Imagine though they'd established a child for Lois and Clark who grew up somehow (if "Angel" can do it, and all the time travel stuff, that's not out of probability here), who due to the combined Kryptonian and Human DNA this began happening to... or even the "Death of Superman" clone who became Superboy (I can't remember if he'd been discontinued by this point). Fans wouldn't have reacted negatively to it. It was just that Superman had been a long-established entity that messing with to this extent was too much.
Yeah it's like giving batman the ability to fly and use powers. At that point his a different character entirely, the concept of what makes Batman interesting is that he is closest to peak-human fitness as well as being human himself we can relate to. I like your idea of his son cause at least you still get to keep the aspects of what makes superman great yet not changing too much to make it a case of multiverse cause really this seems like different multiverse superman like with red death for batman. Rant over lol
@@TroySoy Honestly, I think a daughter might have been more interesting than a son (Jon Kent the younger had not been established in any continuity at that point)... that way it'd be able to tie more of the humanization of Clark, not quite understanding what it's like to raise a girl but trying really hard. Then just as it seems we get past that awkwardness and Clark begins to bond with this coming of age daughter (who has finally accepted that she's Superman's daughter and decides to fight alongside her father), we get the Superman Blue saga for her. We don't know what's happening, she could be getting written off and killed, etc.

i wonder if thor or magneto could either help him or hurt him when he's learning his powers. just imagine if mjolnir absorbed superman, or magneto helps him stablize his form. lol
🤦♂️ another power upgrade!? You kidding me? All because the sun ☀️ is yellow? Should do a story about regular human being taken to another solar system with a red sun. Then we get all superman powers too!! Or maybe a story that a regular human gets taken to Krypton & becomes Superman there because red sun! Before Krypton was destroyed & Clark/Kal was born!
"Don't forget your glasses" Really? You might as well tell Bruce Banner that he doesn't understand living with anger like a woman does. Clark should have replied, "Don't forget my glasses? I'm Clark Kent, biyotch!"

That happens with any kind of change to iconic characters.

“Faster than light”, then he just goes across town lol. Rather than leaving the atmosphere so fast he doesn’t even have time to burn up.
Superman: that’s an awfully hot coffee pot, can I grab it? Probably not
after like 20 years... I finally know. I have only three issues from this series when they released!
I enjoyed Superman red/Superman blue. Haven't read it in years, I appreciate the review. Ron Frenz is always a favorite as an artist!!!

Can you do a video about the doom patrol and heroes from non marvel and dc comics like from image or dark horse
I have 7 issues of superman blue and I love it I'm trying to find the books where it has superman red and blue but there hard to find.
Superman blue is just Superman if he was in breaking bad and visited Walter white
This is kinda interesting, experiments with powers is fun and makes common situations different

He should train with Livewire.
And this... is Super Man Blue!!!
This is my favorite super man to be made
You we need you to do one with Superman VS Black Adam .
Why does he feel like quantum superman
The 90’s were - Ugh! At least they tried , though .
And they say Supermans story is boring because hes op. This was hella enganging
Sounds like Mr. Manhattan
too much energy drinks huh?
Still nothing beats soups cooking himself in the sun for 15000 years lol
except the 7 deadly sins for some reason
Looks like he became Dr Manhattan
Just call him Super-Doctor Manhattan
Dr SuperManhattan
Needed one of these
Reminds me of Dr Manhattan
Okay so he become a Saipan lol😂
Goku moment
i wonder if thor or magneto could either help him or hurt him when he's learning his powers. just imagine if mjolnir absorbed superman, or magneto helps him stablize his form. lol
Marvel and DC don't mix
@@GreySchezwan yeah they do they have multiple times in the comics. You should check it out it's cool
no part2 of this?
Blue Superman explained please
So superman is dr Manhattan 😂
Now that's where Super Saiyan God And Blue was inspired from
If you own a gas powered stove go turn it on. Look at the flame. That's where the creator got the idea from. Yellow, red, blue lmao 🤣 nice try
this was cool
So what your saying is superman now has instant transmission? Bro I'm done😂
As if DBZ invented teleporting 🙄
@@abcdefg-xm7dc Not saying that g, it's just funny cuz it's the first thing I thought of😂. And i wanna know how the DBZ fans feel about this😂🤣.
I can see why this was so disliked
DC is coming in last with these ideas.
How many secrets powers he ganna have
