I sure miss Buddy Emmons! I met him in St. Louis at the International Steel Guitar Convention and talked with him at his music booth. Buddy was always willing to share his knowledge of the steel guitar and help others. They sure don't make music like that anymore. We've lost so much in America since since The Golden Years of music.

The is a gem: classic, prime Emmons, excellent, understated Seely vocals, and the tempo they picked here just feels perfect.

I especially love that they brought Buddy out front and Jeannie was obvioulsy digging what he was playing. Great stuff.
And Lloyd Green cooling his heels, and Jerry Byrd playing rhythm guitar!

She did Don't Touch Me on this show, too, didn't she? Seems there used to be a clip of it up with her and Emmons, much like this.

Its awful to hear that word "late" Buddy Emmons . I listen to many great steel players and think wow they're superb.......then I listen to Buddy Emmons again and he just had so much more taste than everyone else.

@handsupbud yeah , only superman could be that good . His playing from 2:03 - 2:06 and 2:39 - 2:45 is subtle but pure perfection.
