Nice to get some OG references - I DO remember Mike Harris. As good as Jalen has been you don't dare give him a max deal at this point. Given Amen's emergence I do believe they will move Dillon but not this summer. Unless the upcoming pick is top 4 I think they will move it (and some lesser players) for another veteran. I'm with Ben on keeping Tari on the bench unless he makes a big leap. Tyus Jones is a good choice - roster consolidation needs to be on the table. Do you guys realize we have a 30% chance of a top 4 pick? That could be really valuable if a team falls in love with one of the top guys. I will not complain if they stand pat because I think the young guys could use some stability.
Amen is not a volume Scorer. It's not really enough. But Amen and jaleen duo is good. Another Sharp shooter and Rim protector.
Not sure a Top 4 pick in this draft matters more than being 8th. There's nobody anyone thinks could turn around their franchise. It's been called by some the worst draft ever
I think it’s also important to note that it’s not about who you start with but who you close with. We saw in that stretch when Jalen was bad that tari closed. I think we are trying to make Jabari into a complementary piece, and quite frankly our offense needs his shooting and rebounding wayyyy too much to bench him. Of course that’s dependent on what happens in the off season and draft
Tari's 3 pt shooting is the same as Jabari & his rebounding is better
Jabari has an almost automatic mid range. If he comes off bench hr could focus in that. His 3 is to inconsistent

@@RobertLandHoustonSportsTalk I have also been disappointed with his defense lately.against the jazz he got bully by ‘little guard’ Collin sexton and against the timberwolves he was caught up with indecision to close in on ‘slow ball’ Anderson,before he drilled a 3 pointer. Those little things cost you games.

Is Jabari only gonna be “okay” as a player?? There are tools there, but it seems like he’s limited athletically and that can hurt him at times

The rockets need a young athletic center to play defense, rebound, and a few blocks. Steve Adams is on the wrong side of 30.

As I previously stated before and what was proven against the Mavericks, They wont pay Sengun a Max, just so he becomes unplayable in the playoffs against elite guards and wings of the west. I said that before the rockets played the Mavs, and then Luka goes out and make my point against Landale./ No one is maxing out Centers who cant SWITCH
They don’t have to max him out. Also Jokic is not a player who can guard on the perimeter
Jokic, Sabonis, AD and Gobert are 4 elite big men in the West that play drop coverage and have gotten max contracts.

What you guys fail to understand is, like Harden in the Houston era, Jokic accounts for over 65% of points,So yes like Harden teams will stomach the lack of defense. Sengun although possibly in the future maybe a Jokic but not on this team when you have to share so much usage with Jalen Green. So at that point, the offense won't match the lack of defense
If you give sengun not a max. deal this xear....than should another franchise taste his luck and trade sengun.....if we discus that shit now , when all nba recognised him....only housten is think if or if not....what you talking housten....
Give jalen and alpi max otherwise they will leave 100% your not the owner jalen will not sign if not max and he leave this rockets team in my opinion

Udoka agrees. He's trying to tough them up. They've gotten in a bunch of fights so they're getting tougher but it takes time
To me, Brooks nor Fred fit anymore. They were instrumental in changing the culture but in reality Amen and Cam are ready. They are blocking true progression. With Fred and Brooks we will always be mediocre. Real talk.
Amen's not ready to be a point guard. Not sure he'll ever be ready with his issues dribbling & shooting
