Severus Snape, Ser Jorah Mormont, Davy Jones, not only do I sympathize for these characters I can relate. This theme has given me peace in my heart during these past few years. Thank you for posting.
Not sure if that was asked outta sympathy or out of (grow da hell up!) tone. lol But to translate for your better understanding, I developed a very sincere and true relationship with a certain person. The special kind where you know what the other is thinking without actually having to say any words, you could look at the other's eyes and instantly know what they were feeling. A relationship where compassion and kindred spirit links were most definitely evident and were strongly observed and light-heartedly teased by our peers. Now, after some time of being away, she suddenly feels incredibly nervous around me and shys away from any eye contact (she doesn't have a boyfriend). While I was away and we kept in touch, there were no implications or signs of anything changing until the day I returned. When I confronted her over the matter, of her being so distant she gave me vague reasons that when one reads between the lines her basic fear is. She's afraid that because of a few years age difference that her friends will judge her "social appearance" of how it'll look to others would not make her happy, should we continue past the friendship stage. To note, we were friends and I'm old fashioned I like being friends before anything physical goes down, (and by that I mean a good deal of time), I love her for who she is, flaws and all. Being friends is what made me fall in love with who she genuinely was when she wasn't putting on the façade of being ditsy naïve blonde routine. She's got spunk, she's got character, and at a time when I needed it most (in fact the very day I met her) she expressed compassion. Dang, I feel bad now, you had to read all that!

Got almost the same situation at the moment. She's just perfect for me and we were very close friends a couple of years now with a age difference of 6 years. The only different thing is, when I confessed my feelings, there was just no reaction...
She told me that she doesn't know how to react and what to say and that anytime before someone confessed such things to her, she always knew what to do. But not this time. I told her that it's okay and that she doesn't has to answer anything, just wanted to make it easier for her. But well...sometimes no reaction can tell more than anything else right...? Anyway I'm used to it by 10 years of landing in the so called "friendzone", getting cheated on, backstabbed by friends and left heartbroken.
Sorry for my bad english and for replying such crap to your comment but sometimes you can't talk so free to anyone than to a stranger.

Hey, I'll say a prayer for you too man. And remember don't judge her,
with any relationship whether it goes well or bad keep in mind that your
reactions can either make you bitter or better. When someone else's
happiness is your happiness that is true love, even if it breaks your
heart seeing them with someone else.
True words friend and, of course, I would never judge her. All I want is to see that she's happy but sometimes it's really hard to bear situations like this.

Clypso literally said he was cruel. He destroyed other ships and took the crew for his own. Expect the ones that didn't give their souls to him. Those he would kill. Seems cruel to me. Still, I have sympathy for him. He was betrayed by someone who he thought loved him.

Many nights ago when I was a boy, I was staying at a bed and breakfast owned by a friend's mom on the Southern coast of Ireland near the Head of Kinsale. I was out for an evening walk with my friend and we both heard the eerie sound of a ship's horn, it was distant at first but it got louder. We then saw through the fog an old, 4 funneled ocean liner. The smokestacks were black and strange, purple fire shot from the tops of them. On the deck of the ship's bow, I could see zombie-like, passengers covered in seaweed with rotten greenish-blue skin dripping water. They wore clothing that was not from the present day we live in. The clothing was like something people wore over 100 years ago and then we saw the ship's name on its stern: RMS Lusitania!

Both love and the sea are cruel mistresses.....they can be ether your ally....or enemies.....no in between...... But they both bring me to the past.....the past that for years I have tried to forget......yet this song.....this song that once put me at ease.....now is the only thing that brings back memories of that hated past I drowned in the seas....so long ago.

Poor poor Davey. He fell in love like a man falls in love with a woman. But he didn't fall in love with a woman but a diety. He loved her like a woman and she truly loved him. But his folly was not understanding that she wad not a woman but a diety. And when he felt she scorned him after all he sacrificed to be with her, his heart was broken. He didn't (couldn't) realize that she was a primordial creature. Like any woman but especially in this case she had to be free to be what she was. The sea is freedom. She loved him but she loved freedom as well. And in the end his anger and rage turned her against him.
Personally, I don't like the "static" sounding rain, but don't get me wrong. I love the idea of this, but maybe spending a little more time on sharping the sound of the rain, by bringing up the quality, you would make a beautiful video.
