    That little wood stove seems just great, perfect for a backup. Im assuming it warms the room and that you can gentle simmer on the top?

      Yes! And I really like that, when cooking on the hot plate on top, I can move the pan along depending how hot I need it to be (so higher temperature cooking above the fire box and lower temperature for simmering above the oven section on the left). The only downside to the stove is the small fire box needs smaller sized logs, so some extra work needed to saw them down!
