That has never happened while dipping... this usually happens when I apply activator to the nail and then apply the base brush right after. Activator usually hardens the base brush But your situation is kinda new. So I’m assuming tht You’re probably not brushing off the powder from your nail whenever u dip, so when U apply the base again it absorbs all the powder from your nail and harden 🤷🏽♀️
@@CheraelSymone u are so welcome I love dip powders… and didn’t know I could do the things u do.. always made them a whole color and now I am inventing thanks to U
I loved it!I tried to do the ombre on my own nails and I could not do as you did, I gave up. Also, do you have a video explaining how you efile? I am still a beginner with the efile.
Hi, no it’s not the same. Dip powder base is a glue/resin and base coat is a gel tht is cured in a UV lamp... However you can use base coat gel and dip powder together (apply the base coat gel, pour the dip powder... DON’T DIP.... and then cure in the lamp)
Just curious and want to get some advice.. I have brittle nails. would u recommend me to use dipping powder to do extension? I tried gel extension but it did not last quite long. as I am thinking this is harder, but not sure if my nails can withstand this extension method.
Hi, you can use the dip powders on your natural nails to help it to grow out and it would be a protective layer for your brittle nails. You can also apply builder gel to your natural nails as a protective layer I wouldn’t recommend using nail tips just yet tho, since if u don’t remove the tips as u should, u run the risk of damaging your nails even more.
Ohh thank u so much!! And one last qns, i had a prob with gel nails is that i tried to file and make my nail matt, but it tends to chip alot. Not sure if the same thing will happen if i use dipping powder.
I don’t think trying to file the nail can result in the nail becoming matte... gel nails become matte if it gets into contact with oil such as cuticle oil. You’re supposed to wait for the gel to cool down after it was placed in the lamp... I think thts the only reason it can become matte. Also when filing the nails u need to rough up the surface a little, if the surface of the nails are smooth, the gel polish wouldn’t have anything to hold on to. Therefore it would peel off.
At first I didn't think it would work. But boy was I wrong love them. 💘

So pretty, you are so good! How do you keep your base brush from hardening? once I get to my second coat, it seems like it’s always hard. 😩

Hey lady. Is the dip powder base the same as the normal base for color gel polishes?
Hi, no it’s not the same. Dip powder base is a glue/resin and base coat is a gel tht is cured in a UV lamp... However you can use base coat gel and dip powder together (apply the base coat gel, pour the dip powder... DON’T DIP.... and then cure in the lamp)
