Method Actors: what's your opinion? Also what do you all think of the new look? Spent a lot of time upgrading lighting, sound and post production.... just for you! 😉
One thing I've noticed about the various things people call "method acting" - they're applied by both male and female performers, but AFAIK every "method acting horror story" is about a man. It's almost like women are somehow able to make use of these acting techniques without being maniacs who make life hell for their coworkers.
I think most of the time the character of any ( movie and play ) are doing nothing . They are just living there life like a normal human being - breathing thinking eating etc etc … but when we have to create some dark emotional scenes that’s where the problem starts … thanks for these interesting videos .. my fav performance is Thomas Shelby played by cillian Murphy ( peaky blinders )
Method acting doesn’t sit right with society today to many outsiders and in lookers have a very very structured and way off the mark opinion on what it actually is. People are happy to watch low standard acting on soaps and lots of block buster movies cause it acting right. Would defiantly recommended taking a look at Brian Timoneys RUclips page, I’ve been training and taking lessons with him since lockdown and he’s brilliant. Will you touch onto the other practitioners in between stan and strasberg?? I.E demidov and co?? For me they were the most important people in the system/Method. As always enjoyed your content and left a like 👍🏼

Interesting point.
Or perhaps men are perceived as more 'toxic' through a contemporary lens.
Excellent content as ever, brother. 👏
Thank you, as always. 💯
Chris, looks like you really understood Stanislavski's system in a way that I never knew existed before! Great video! Good to see that you're back
Thank you. Good to be back!
In method if you're doing it right you're serving the character there for serving the script
excellent video 👍

I am ashamed to say I have never watched Peaky Blinders (even though my partner is a big fan). Shame on me.
Mustache growing was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I will have a look into this for my future content. 😃
Method acting is good but upto only a certain limit.
True fact : nobody knows what's the real meaning of method acting .
well said 👍
I don't think they're doing this for themselves, on the contrary, they sacrifice a lot of themselves for the sake of the story.
Of course, but sometimes it's fun to play devil's advocate. 😉
