Packy, I had to tell d tang, and I'm telling you and Brad & Kyle. Respectfully, what is the deal with these goofy shocked faces? Hands on cheeks, mouth open. Try something a little different. I love you bud.
I’m not a fan of string pins tbh, the pin action is just string action, not fun to watch. If the PBA switches to string pins I will actually stop watching
If you are looking for something different try this: 21 balls, high score wins. You must clear all pins before a re-rack (so clearing a split could require 3 balls or more). Spares only count on the 2nd ball. Just a thought
@@bobh6728 They should go all the way with that if they could - that is, full candlepin rules with tenpin equipment. Not sure if there's a lane setting to not clear fallen pins off the deck between shots, though.
String pins just doesn't seem interesting. I would legit try to play a full game at a string pin alley, but given the option for a brand new string pin alley and an old traditional alley with super slow pinsetters that don't even line up right, I would go with traditional..
I am right there with you. I don't mind giving them a try, but that shit is in a league of its own. Maybe a subset of the PBA one day, but it ain't what I signed up for
Nice! Reminds me of lane 66½ at Wagner's in Eau Claire. It was a half lane in a bar in the (now gone) 1-40 side. (Only the old 41-66 side remains...!numbered 1-26 of course)
Strikes #7 & 8 is exactly why strings should never be used in competition. It really is a joke to get a strike with a string carry. Stupidest invention ever.... string pins that is. #Save free fall pins.
This would work a whole lot better if this was on free fall machine and not string. Hey Packy why are you still in that cursed place ? Go find a center that has free fall machines.
Btw The House bowling so I play bowling in Sydney at Westpoint and before ey used to have no strings on the pins but now they combined two play places like Timezone and bowling into one and now they added strings. I have a question: Does strings that are on the pins better then pins without strings what is the difference?
During the pin action after the ball hits the pins with strings act differently both positive for the bowler and negative. But the worst part about it to me is that the carry is not "true". The strings should not play a role in the bowlers carry it also makes it seem like it's a carnival Barker's game
The physics of pins suspended on strings affects the game more than you'd think. There is no satisfying crash when the ball hits. These are so.e reasons why I don't like stringed pins although they don't offend me. I don't think anyone would be offended by bowling pins to be fair.
lol the uneducated people in this comment section complaining about non regulation, improperly tuned stringies Obviously its hard to watch, because this isnt an accurate representation of them.
If you aren't using a rubber ball on wood lanes oiled with mineral oil on a mop, you are a cheater. And make sure you don't have too much side weight either!
@ripvanrevs I'm not sure what you mean by rubber ball are you referring to what the insides of the plastic balls urethane balls and reactivate balls are made of?
I don't hate strings nearly as much as the average bowling fan (hate on me all you want, it's my opinion), but even I found some of those 7-pin falls excruciating to watch
Its just string. Honestly at this point I feel like its a preference thing why people have issues with them. Ok so it looks crazier and they aren't traditional whoopie....
The fact that Wichita states bowling center is string pins with all the bowling history that Wichita states has brought the bowling world is an absolute disgrace to bowling just like the PBA50 tour actually allowing a PBA tournament to be bowled on string pins especcially when shafer had a messenger in the final match held back by strings and cost him the tourney
@@maxymillio9you think string pins is the game evolving are you out of your mind your clearly not a bowler or your a house 150 avg bowler 😂😂😂absolute clown comment😂😂😂wow hahaha what a crazy comment to my own😂😂😂

I have a question for packy, but anyone can answer; at what average in league would you consider looking at more competetive bowling? And would your answer change for sport shot or house shot bowling? I've been able to keep up about 220-230 in small tournaments, and a 200 average in league (going up day by day, I bowl better in tournaments than league) and wonder if I could have a chance at competing in actual pba events, or what the next step from league bowling would be
Any average, there are plenty of tournaments that I bowl with or against people who average 150, it’s all about finding the right tournament where they give handicap to level the fields!
String pins are difficult to watch.
I really appreciate the fact that George can still flat 10 from the masking unit.
Somebody has to

Put training wheels on the ball..let’s see what happens.and next throw the ball overhand

Challenging to watch String Pins.
Ooof... it's so hard to watch string pins
Packy’s 7th strike was definitely a String Strike that took out the 7 with No Pin contact…
Go back to the 100 ft lane. Take a couple of pros with you. That video was awesome. Would like to see a follow-up.

No wonder why its not easier those pins have strings attached to them
