Saw them on 2nd stage at Lollapalooza in 94- had never heard of them before (finding new music was much harder before the internet, wasn't it??). I can tell you I was watching them when I was starting to peak and it was INCREDIBLE. I've never experienced anything quite like it. Loved them ever since, especially this album.
Only started to liked them recently. I watched them perform on the word TV ( UK 1996?) Vocals are a bit low on this performance. It was a real shame about the death of Mary Hansen.😪 Such a young woman aswell. In a lonely place.
passing of Whitney Houston reminds me of contribution of artists that made my musical life better who R gone & far more forgotten..I dedicate this stunning religious experience of a song to the late Mary Hansen (that's her to the left of the singer,on bass) who was killed riding her bike 10years ago this December. Sad..but she&band left a huge body of work that I think others will be enjoying for yrs2come. A seminal band w/ a deep deep catalogue=I think even the Velvets wld bow down b4 this
Saw this tour at Sombre Reptile in Atlanta (Unrest opened for them). Even got to talk to Tim a bit while Unrest performed. Such a down-to-earth, nice guy; and it was such a great show! Thanks so much for putting this up...
I was at that show as well, and it made me so happy. Drove up from Gainesville, Fl to see it and then popped a bunch of white cross and drove home afterwards. Such a great night.
Tremendo! By far my favorite song by the groop. Super Electric also peak and Golden Ball. But this is it. Ohhh, well, Les Yper Sound is good. And Three Dee Melodie, and Mass Riff... and, and, and so.
I saw Stereolab for the first time in 93. Instantly hooked. Epic version of one of my favourite tunes
My imaginary concert: a 500 seat intimate club with both Stereolab and Can appearing that evening.

Me too, but not at Lollapalooza and with out the LSD. Mind was still blown and warped as a result. Lab for life. Especially this song.
debthemango : same here, at the NYC show on Randall’s Island. Their performance changed my life.

Listening to Stereolab on psychedelics is incredible. They cover so many different vibes and it feels like a different world

OMG I'm so fucking happy they used to perform this song so similar to the record. I wish I was ten years older so I could have seen this....
The best. Appropriating and re inveventing. My favorite band.

Thank you for sharing this! This is gold!
Awesome. One of my favorite songs. Thank you.
Sounds like a homage to Hallogallo by Neu! in the second half after the 4:30 mark
Hoping that's tongue in cheek
Certainly!
That or Fur Immer.
A fair bit of their stuff has the Neu!-motorik trip going on.
:-)
One of my fav bands ever!!!
So far ahead of their time. I miss you all.
the second half of this is amazing
Yes!
Neu!
This is wonderful
Love this. Play them regularly on my show. - CRMK 8pm Friday UK time
Andy Ramsay = Klaus Dinger (well, ... he's close)
Klaus Dinger is like a semi-god and the master of motorik, but honestly I think that Andy Ramsay took the kraut no another level...
Ha ha, understood!
;-)
Absolute gem.
at about 6:45 I start tearing up a little
30 years ago... Damn
That's the spirit!
Stereolab were TIGHT in the mid 90s. The Groop played Chord X....
makes me want to nod my head in tune,is there more to life than that?
No.
this is the song that did it for me.....so much undefined places here.....how'd they get there?
