You are the reason why i got gollum jade! I couldnt not find it ANYWHERE in alberta. One day, i came across three!! On fb marketplace. Got three for $15 and it has been growing ever since. Thank you for introducing this to this awesome plant!!
Wow! That is great to hear. I definitely don't see them in stores often so it's nice that you were able to find some on FB
Bought 3 jades in the spring , now have 8 cuttings growing well to gift at Christmas time.
That's awesome 😎
The audio is 100% better. Thank you.
Ya, it worked out well this time
Sorry I missed your stream. Watching it now
thanks so much for watching!
Jades are really tough. My favorite is gollum. USA, Kentucky here. Yes succulents are tough all around generally. Zone 6b/7a line.
@@bobbiechinn9578 I find they are tough if you don't have enough light! Thanks for tuning in Bobbie!
I've seen a Jade plant flower. It was my Grandmother's.
That's awesome 👍
Hello, I also cut all of the foliage from my large jade and I do not see any new growth. How long should it take to see new growth. It is indoor under 1000 lumen lights. Your the very best!! Thanks so much!!!
Classic shirt. 🇨🇦
Hey, thanks! I love the Saskatchewan western red lily
I added about 20% pea gravel with about three quarts of Cactus and Succulent Mix along with 50% Perlite.
as someone recommended.
What do you think about this?
Also should I take out the pea gravel?
I then evenly distribute most of ,the mixture in four 4.7" terracotta pots for my 4 succulents one which is a Jade.
I don't see any harm with the pea gravel, but you have it in a good soil and perlite so it's not really necessary. If it came in a bag then I'd check to see if there is salt content in there as it would need to be rinsed off well before using.

@@pegleckrone5095 awesome! Hello from Saskatchewan
Are all gollum jades rather yellow towards the center?
I wouldn't say so, but some leaf yellowing is normal and generally that's the lower part of the branches (oldest leaves)
Do the jade's need heat to grow more? (As well as light).
Jades do just fine with indoor regular temps.....20-22C is generally what my house is year-round.
I know in the summer people take jades outside to soak up the heat. So you might want to consider giving it a spot that receives some bright light and shade throughout the day
Can you clarify where to make a cut on the stem. Pickering ON
@@Michael-yr9eq I always make the cut in-between two nodes!
@@EverythingPlants Thanks, do you think it makes a difference to cut just below a node or close to the top of a node?
@@Michael-yr9eq it doesn't make a difference because the portion where you cut will eventually dry up and fall off. If you cut too close to the node, then you run the risk of damaging New growth potentially..... As a general rule, I cut right in the middle
@@EverythingPlants Thanks again. I will heed your advice as the "surgery" on two of my jades is about to begin. :>))
Have you used Pure Crop 1 on a Jade? I haven’t, just curious 🤷🏻♀️
@@wendy3964 yes....no problems

My jade that I hacked up for fun when you hacked up yours looks pretty much like it's old self with double the leaves! I forgot I had a gollum jade until this video so i went and got it out from it's hiding spot and it went from like 2 inch tall shrek ears to a bunch of like 5 inch tall plants in the pot so ill have to figure out that potting situation and if/when I want to prune it...
I use miracle gro cactus soil and perlite and i use miracle gro house plant fertilizer )1/4 strength) on all my plants (except calatheas) every single time i water. I use Brita water on my calatheas and toss in some fertilizer when i think about it, but i def don't ascribe to the "miracle gro destroys plants" cult following that there seems to be because it simply doesn't for me... I have everything from alocasias to african violets, to monsteras, succulents, zz plants, fiddle figs and so on all in the same mixture of miracle gro cactus with added miracle gro perlite... The cost makes the most sense for ME, its 8.99 for 8liters so for 16 liters of soil I am paying less than 20 dollars and having no issues... I even use this in my self-watering pot but i add in more of the perlite...
The ONLY plants I have that are not in miracle gro either haven't been replanted, are an orchid in just moss, are my venus fly trap in just moss, or my lithops in just New Zealand terrarium rocks (not painted).
@@MarisaAndChew that's awesome and it's surprising how quick and well they respond to pruning!
@@EverythingPlants lol I left cuttings on the counter and my mom took two and put them in water to root 🤣🤣 she's still waiting on roots but they haven't rotted and they're putting out more leaves 🤷♀️
