It might be because your diaphragm is weak at the moment since you have never taken breaths this way. As Dan says, the more you practice the more efficient your breathing becomes and subsequently the less you will feel out of breath.

@@monishgowda5555 sit upright on a comfortable chair, then breathe like what the doctor said: 1) put one hand on your chest and another hand on your belly 2) breathe in deeply until your stomach sticks out/rise up. For the next few days, take some time to repeat and monitor yourself so that you can get used to breathe the right way
after watching this I just learned that I naturally breathe from my diaphragm, and can switch to "chest breathing" on command, It just feels more normal to breathe from my diaphragm...
You must exahale all the air out of your lungs. I felt like that at first too. If you breathe through chezt, you won't exhale all the air, so you must try to do it becuse then you can breathe in more "new" air.
When you’re used to breathing through your chest, belly breathing is likely to give you a stuffy feeling at first, but actually, if you practice belly breathing more and you’re able to fully breathe with your belly at one point, you’ll feel that you get a lot more air than by chest breathing. Happy breathing!😉
Breathing should be easy. Learn the basic technique, can be difficult as the way we breathe is locked into our habit. It took me 10 weeks to relax enough to breathe out properly. The benefits of nose breathing using the diaphragm are miraculous. (Add cold showers and you will have a completely new you). Lockdown gave me the time to improve my health
I've been breathing wrong for idk how long......... I breath from my chest and my stomach goes in instead of out. Gonna try and remember to practice this daily. I'm noticing right off the bat, I have shorter breaths when practicing.
People don't wear tight clothing around your waist ,trust me ,loosen the belt ,your abdomen should never be pressured.Ladies always take off bra at home ,bras are notorious for pressing on my diaphragm and preventing me from breathing deeply
My voice is naturally deep but sometimes I when I get stressed, I also anxiety my voice beomes 'rubbish' not as deep not as commanding, this should help me alot :)
I have asthma. And I definitely breath through my chest more than my diaphragm. When I try to breath through my diaphram I feel like I'm only getting 1/3 of the air I get when breathing from my chest. It's supposed to give more air...but I feel worse. Any suggestions as to the cause? Do I just need to work on diphram breathing more?
asia g try taking deeper breaths while doing diaphragm breathing. One breathing exercise I recommend is to lay down and put a book on your belly button. Once you start breathing, make sure the book rises and falls by expanding your belly while you inhale, and shrinking it while you exhale. Other than that you should probably just do breathing exercises daily. I hope this helps!
It’s so hard to breathe like this. I fell like my lungs aren’t fully filled in each breathe. Also, does not sitting straight affect breathing capacity? Like, does the lung bends from not sitting straight and cause breathing capacity to decrease? Also, does laying front-down for a long time affect breathing capacity? Like, does it push the ribs in and decrease space for lungs? Also, is it possible that it’s because the air in the room is not enough? I’m in a medium room with no passage of air, only air conditioner, and I keep it off almost all the time. And the outside of my room is another no passage of air. (Only very small gaps from doors and bathrooms.) Also is it possible that it’s because I alway wear mask when going outside? Like, never take it off when outside. Does that cause my breathing to change? Will it get better if I keep doing the correct way? I can’t breathe fully. It feels like I only get 1/4 of what I want each breathe. If you see this, please provide me some suggestions, that would be great, thank you!
Close of your mouth; inhale and exhale form only through your nose; while your breathe make sure you cannot hear the sound of your breath and slowly reach your diaphragm; try not to strain or go above your breathing capacity.

You're not supposed to tense your abs like you're showing off your 6 pack, you're pushing air upwards through your lungs with the diaphragm. Look up an image of where the diaphragm is in the body so you can see how it moves, and work on pulling in and pushing out the belly as naturally and low effort as possible, staying relaxed.
