The drastic difference between Jiu always messing with Handong VS Sua always helping Handong is hilarious. Cause Sua would never let other members get away with mistakes but when it comes to Handong, she's a softy. Happy Birthday to the Ice Princess herself.

As a Korean learner, I definitely held Han Dong's pain while watching this video.
1. 물어보세요, as basic as it is in Korean language, was low-key REALLY hard to learn as a beginner lol. I kept saying 물라보세요... which doesn't make sense in the slightest.
2. 양--- is a very, VERY dangerous word prefix haha. Tread lightly. Instead of sheep and braids, you can get gangster, blades, etc.
3. I 100% get the temptation to just add 요 in literally everything. It's a survival instinct to not sound rude at all, lmao.
4. Like I said, 양 is very dangerous. VERY dangerous. :p

The fact that she beats Yoohyeon in that Korean word games 😂😂 Yoohyeon slowly turning into Handong.
Learning and becoming proficient in a second language is so much easier with a good support system. And Handong definitely has that with her members. She's come so far with her Korean skills and as an idol. Happy birthday to her and looking forward to many more years with her and the rest of the group!

that's why she's my favorite member of Dreamcatcher, I moved from Argentina to Germany and learning the language in just a short period of time, was something really hard to do and I can imagine (and feeling related too) what she'd been through while you're dealing with a language that's not yours, is a hard process but very satisfying in the end. I feel proud of her.

i love how much she has grown with the korean language. its really beautiful to see. now she has a solo coming out that is most likely entirely in korean and i love to see it. i'm really happy that dami and yoohyeon decided to learn chinese so that they could better communicate with her. i think thats a really beautiful thing

I started learning Korean in 2017 from my friends and I watched a lot of Kdramas and plus Kpop helped me too. Dongie is funny and if I ever meet her I will learn Chinese so I speak to her in her language.
Learning a new language ain't easy. It's bad enough when the language you're learning uses the same writing system as your native language. Learning a new writing system in addition to a new language? My condolences.

Happy birthday to our beautiful Ice Princess! Watching this video made me feel like a proud parent. Our Dongie has come so far within such a relatively short amount of time ever since she first moved to Korea. I love how her bandmates always help and support her and defend her if she makes a mistake. It's so cute! I also love the different reactions her members give whenever she makes a mistake or is at a loss for words. Jiu acting like a playful dad who often teases her affectionately, SuA, the proud mom who guides her daughter and helps her out wherever she can, Siyeon like her older sister who both teases and supports from the sideline, jumps in to rescue when needed, Yoohyeon the friend who so happens to be a not so helpful language nerd and enjoys Dongie's funny excurses in terms of the Korean language but also takes advantage of her bestie's background and learns Chinese from her, Dami, the girlfriend who naturally wants to learn her love's mother-language, already so they can lead more comfortable conversations and also because she's interested in Dongie's roots/background and lastly Gahyeon, the little genius sibling who's a little savage who obviously already speaks Korean fluently, already due to their age gap and having come to the country at a much younger age and mostly thinks her sister's Korean is funny and always gives her a reason to laugh, playfully tease her but at the same time, she thinks it's the cutest thing ever how Dongie pronounces certain words. Oh, yes. I love Deukae and our Handong. :D
