- In this tutorial I demonstrate how to make a snake knot bottle wrap. This project is based on the work done by Hanh Nguyen.

Nice pattern. I'm using this because I want a bottle to stay securely strapped under bungees on a paddle board and I don't want the bottle to slip. The height of the snake knot sinnets when using 550 cord serves this purpose. It's not as ergonomic to hold as my Carrick bend wrap, but that's exactly why I made it. I'm sure it's more comfortable with the smaller cord you've used here.

How do I know how to measure for my bottle size?
Is there a way to start this without a metal ring? Can't seem to find those
You can get those rings in a hardware store, but you don't really need a metal one. Craft shops carry wooden ones. You can just use a key ring too!

The more open work turns this into a net, and classically, we'd use a spreader bar, maybe a ruler, so each knot is tied an equal distance from the last. It can be problematic if using an elastic material, but true paracord should have zero give.
So all 8 strands is 5ft? Thnaks
