Saint Louis is such an interesting city for an urban explorer! Many deserted buildings, many kinds of architecture too... It seems to be a bit creepy on the gritty parts, but I imagine it to be particularly exciting!
The calendar planner looks legit to me. Unless somebody planted it there, it's probably been there for 50 years. The back of it, looks even older then that. Phone number UPton 5-5300. I don't know when East St. Louis got seven digit dialing, but I would think it was before 1967. 1967 was probably the last time a new insert was put in it.
Hi…...pretty dark an gloomy city st Louis.... I wouldn't want to live there...but thanks again for the great video's.....see ya' from Canada......*john
I remember seeing this building when my family and I were on our way to my Dad's home-state, Ohio. But I haven't been in that area since the summer of 1975. I'd heard how the building was scheduled for demolition. Surely there's someone out there who can save this building, it's an East St. Louis landmark.
IT WAS THE HOME OF THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER, IT BECAME SOME KIND OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE THROUGH THE LATE 80'S AND FELL INTO DISUSE. IT'STHE TALLEST BUILDING IN ESL AND HISTORICAL, SO IT WON'T BE TORN DOWN. IT MAY FALL DOWN LIKE THE MURPHY BUILDING NEAR IT, BUT WON'T BE TORN DOWN .
I get down to Saint Louis from time to time to see a old school buddy. I seen that building from a distance. but it is nice to see what it looks like on the inside. Do you have a standard load out when you go out to explore?
whenever there are files especially like those i wonder if they had to leave in a hurry or something to just leave them behind especially scattered all overt
You guys sane people? I also live in st.Louis and am in need of a urbex buddy. You guys got any good places to explore too? I used to be a regualr at the Crestwood Court. Anyway, just in case you havent you should head to Armour meat packing! That shit is the most fowl smelling thing ever, but it is pretty damn cool.
Jerry Seinfeld "Open" is a relative term. There used to a door smashed open that you could just walk through in the underground parking area. I went at least 8 times before they started to destroy it for redevelopment. I have a ton of old Police radios and laptops that they used there. I saved them the day before they started to demolish the place.
God what a creepy building. And East St Louis is such a creepy place.
You have some balls going in there by yourself.
ShermKlump The building or East St. Louis?
No, St. Louis is not a dangerous place to go, EAST St. Louis is.
East saint Louis and saint Louis are both equally dangerous so just cut the bullshit

Watching your videos makes me glad my son is a total lazy ass. The mother in me is saying, "You can see right through that wall there you fool!"
That was cool! Great job on the explore.
Looking at the bricks that place looks very cobbled together. Old school printing biz used lots of Benzene in ink. Nasty as F*%#.
Have you done anything in Cairo?
