Saw it(JAWS) in the Theater too at Age 10 as well. It was an event at a perfect age to see it. Scared the crap out of us all. I live in So Cal and we definitely were scared to go to the Beach for a while.
Great look at one great movie! (Btw, one of the early Quinn getting eaten by Bruce, you mentioned, was by John Diaz, not David). Was surprised how much attn the movie was getting in the latter part of 2024 too. Filled out my JAWS Spotlight page really well! Anyways, great job, shippies! Keep em coming!
Being a 'Jaws' fanatic I really enjoyed the chat, Julian could have spent another hour talking! I have two fantastic books Joe Alves 'Designing Jaws' and Jaws Memories: Martha's Vineyard by Matt Taylor. As many enthusiasts I have a host of Jaws models but the pride of my collection is 'Bruce' and the Hooper, Brody, and Quint busts sculpted by the brilliant Andy Copeland painted by 'Rachel' I also built a 3ft scratch built Orca. Adding to Julian and Dave conversation about Bruce's unreliability I seem to remember Spielberg saying the mechanical unreliability of Bruce led to the films success as he had to resort to imagination and dialog which I think, and in my opinion, made the film. My thanks to both Dave and Rachel and of course Andy and Rachel for their artistry.
Enjoyed the show guys, hard to believe it's been almost fifty years since the release. As for iconic movie posters go, I've got to with the one from the first Alien movie...glowing green egg on a black background...with those famous words "In Space No One Can Hear You Scream".

Film poster..2001 a space odyssey
The busts were amazing
They used Pasty's on Klingon heads in STNG.
