This may attract an AHL and/or a G League team as well. Good to see someone not insisting on taxpayer dollars as a "partnership" to socialize the costs and privatize the profits.
Reno had a g league team the Reno big horns. But the Sacramento kings moved them to Stockton because they averaged 500 a game. Grand Sierra does own the Arizona coyotes and their AHL affiliate.
@durstin8er Question: Did the Big Horns not draw due to the venue? Lack of publicity? More focus on The Pack basketball? I didn't know the ownership overlap. I looked up the attendance in Tuscon for the Roadrunners. 4300 was the high, and last season it was 3625. I guess the $64,000 question is "Will my Reno based AHL team draw better than in Tuscon?" I lived in Stockton when the Heat moved to Calgary. AHL hockey is an excellent product, we loved the games.
I'm hoping Reno doesn't start charging a lot of money like Vegas has. I think Las Vegas will have a lot less visitors due to the price of everything. They are even charging $$$$ for parking at their casinos.🦊
Actually based on the images it looks like they won't even touch the highway at all in that area. However it does still effect the area near the highway so I can't be 100% certain that there won't be any problems at all. Either way I wouldn't expect any delays because of this.
On busy weekends they almost NEVER have any parking as it is, adding an arena is just going to build up more traffic going to that place.

About time Reno doing big upgrades. They need to gut downtown as well
Not a cent of public money needed for this? Ok you have my approval if that much is true 👍

Just a matter of time.
Lmao that area on the highway is fucked for the next 10 years

Hope NHP does traffic control during events. That off ramp is going to be crazy on game day or events.
3 months later no movement. lol. What a joke Reno is
