What needs to change is for there to be the right tools that will show people when their systems are not optimal. The fitbit tool could be developed so people will know on an individual level when their bodies are in survival or stress mode. Good youtube some useful takeaways
Is there any help for people that are poor that have been put on lots of meds for pain then lots of diagnosis but insurance does not cover any of this mind body stuff.
It doesn't make sense to me that you say you should try all these psychological tools first, then if they don't work "maybe look at a scan." Why not look at an MRI or CT first to get an idea of what the physical state is? What if a previous surgeon left a scalpel in the knee or something (it has happened!) and it is causing non-psychological pain? What if there is a bone chip in there cutting into tissue? You can't think your way out of that.
You said, “my hip was so bad that I had surgery.” But knees ok. How do we know then when it’s time for surgery? Grade 2 spondy, 1 cm slip, pain constantly. Studied Sarno, Schubiner, all of you. I even emailed you about 3 years ago and your answer was basically do the program which I did. Worse than ever. (Started at a grade 1).
I do wish you would let the man finish what he's saying without interrupting. I'm very interested in what he has to say but you're not allowing him to finish. It's rude, irritating and I'm pretty sure you'll have lost numerous viewers because of this! ☹️
I disagree she is trying to help clarify what he is saying so for people who actually want to analyze what he says they are better able to. I do see tho if u just want to hear him rant. The just Google his claim that “master chess players lose 15 lbs of fat in a match”
I too believe in avoiding unnecessary medication as I was severely harmed by mine, and I can understand helping people to reduce their pain first, then it will be easier to reduce the medications. But I disagree with using benzos for months. They're safe for only 2 weeks, and can cause long term withdrawal symptoms with physical, emotional, and neurological symptoms vastly worse than anything the medications were prescibed for. Benzos are as addictive as heroin, and 10 times harder to quit. Dr. Allan Frances who co-chaired the DSM IV said the only way to confidently avoid being addicted by them was to never take them. French studies showed they harmed 75% of those who were prescribed them. In a few months, benzos can cause a brain injury that can take years to recover from -- people suffer the tortures of the damned with physical, neurological, and emotional side effects. Recent evidence has reported a threefold or higher increase in the risk of all cause mortality among adult populations using benzodiazepines, even for durations shorter than one month. Benzos disabled me for 20 years, supposedly by 5 "incurable" diseases that all dramatically decreased or disappeared 6 months to 2 years after I tapered off them. They don't give you real sleep - in fact they harm REM sleep. There are over 50 benzo withdrawal groups on Facebook alone, and another 500,000 people in the online group, Benzo Buddies. I've found dozens of better ways to deal with sleep, from meditation to turning off cell phones and computers at night to releasing emotions and writing down stresses earlier in the day. I went from crawling - my blood pressure was sometimes so "incurable" low - to dancing by getting OFF benzos. I would hate to see someone learning a wonderful new technique for healing pain and end up addicted to a truly horrible drug when used longer than 2 weeks to 1 month. If they're already dependent, yes, waiting until healing and improvement has occurred THEN tapering them off slowly using the Aston Manual protocols makes sound sense. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5499256/ www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/drugs-linked-to-brain-damage-30-years-ago-2127504.html www.psychologytoday.com/ca/blog/side-effects/201011/brain-damage-benzodiazepines-the-troubling-facts-risks-and-history-minor#_=_ www.huffingtonpost.com/allen-frances/yes-benzos-are-bad-for-yo_b_10775014.html?fbclid=IwAR35cSCMZki0sdmNJqMV1gyI4LVnl1eWj-ZZ2eRKySHpvbDfPontTSKfhWo
@sandramedina9482 I was disabled by them for 20 years , supposedly by 5 "incurable" diseases. Then I tapered OFF benzos and recovered 80% of my health. I got my life back by quitting them and 4 other useless medications! There are better ways to manage insomnia, pain, and anxiety that don't make you twice as likely to get dementia and 3.5 times as likely to die prematurely. Reading the article that informed me of that was what impelled me to quit. I'm sorry for your relatives, who are being harmed br the drug their doctors told them was safe.
@sandramedina9482 Thanks for the good wishes. I was disabled by benzos and an antidepressant prescribed for the pain and insomnia of fibro for 20 years, mostly housebound and often bedridden, supposedly by 5 "incurable" diseases. Then I tapered off and recovered 80% of my health! I literally went from crawling - my blood pressure was so dangerously low - to dancing! I'd NEVER go back - I got my life back. And found better ways to handle pain, insomnia, and anxiety - without al the side effects. Somatic tracking is wonderful, isn't it?
Imposter syndrome, right? Who are these people, why are they in positions of influence and power and who are they to gatekeep others including employees? Answer, there is no reason. It’s arbitrary and that’s why it feels so bad.
All these diseases mentioned but nothing about nerve pain conditions 😢 is that the only disease not included or something? 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

I did not see Lin interrupting so terribly. I see that their communication was effective. Thank you for the video.
Great discussion!! Great information!!

The medical trauma is what doesn’t let us heal.
