New bus alert! The long-wait MUNI Nova Bus LFSe+ (so far the only one) is in service and running on the 27 Bryant today (5/3/23)! This bus has been undergoing operator training and testing for months after it was being delivered, but it finally entered revenue service!
This bus has a very unique exterior look compared to the entire MUNI fleet. As the prototype bus for the Nova category, this for sure is special!
In the video you can see multiple pictures with detailed components in both interior and exterior! It comes with a little different seating layout compared to other BEBs and the rest of the fleet, and an interesting LED sign on the left high floor part (which idk why).
Let me know what you think about this new bus in comments! In my opinion this bus is great since it comes with a BAE transmission!

That’s because BAE Systems (The same company that provided the HybriDrive for hybrid buses) provided the HDS 200 Series-EV for the LFSe+.

It is an electric bus. The Series-EV is the fully-electric drive system, eliminating the internal combustion engine. Not to mention that Series-EV shares the common components with the HybriDrive Series-E and Series-ER.

i heard that NovaBus is deciding to close their US Pittsburgh manufacturing plant so im not sure if they will continue delivering the 2 other units from their Canadian plant. But it’s sad seeing them go off the US Bus Market
